Big C
Stick a fork in the Jackets. Blew a 2 goal lead at home and lost in OT.

billsfanmiami(oh)
If I were a betting man, I'd have bet heavy on Pitt in their series with CBJ. The way CBJ finished the year combined with them being Pitt's B word over the years just smelled like Pens in 6. Didn't see the potential sweep coming though. Miyagi-Do Karate
Stick a fork in the Jackets. Blew a 2 goal lead at home and lost in OT. It's looking like the pats/Bills out there. Game 3 was a must win for them. They're done. Kind of a shame because I think they legitimately could have won the whole thing this year or made a deep run-- but NHL playoffs are all About matchups. BuffaloBud
It's unfortunate for the CBJ. Play pretty darn well the majority of the season (last month they were leaking oil) for the youngest team in the NHL. PITT is playing better than CBJ without question. Only hope is to prevent sweep. Have to admit that this Werenski kid is a star in the making at only 19. Check out his twitter site to see the result of taking a puck up under his visor https://twitter.com/ZachWerenski?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor then to come back out and finish the third period. Pine Barrens Mafia
Lookit that, the Leafs. Much to my chagrin, too. Everyone improves except Buffalo. It's a sports truism.

26CornerBlitz
@NBCSportsPR Top 10 markets for combined NBC/NBCSN local HH ratings for 16-17 NHL season - Pittsburgh led all local markets across NBC, NBCSN & combined. Just imagine the ratings once the Sabres are finally back in.
row_33
Toronto might sink into Lake Ontario with the bandwagon building up. Word to the wise, they've shut down the crucial exit off the Gardiner Expressway for downtown Toronto until the New Year (at least), if you are coming to downtown Toronto, a little planning ahead is in order. It's the exit heading Eastbound for Bay/Yonge/York and this is going to be very painful.

CommonCents
I'm playing defense tonight for the Bruins, I don't know how to ice skate but I have a good stick and I roller bladed one time in elementary school. The open tryouts were fierce, I beat out some bank robbers from Charlestown, a few yuppies from Cambridge, and Ray Bourque's long lost bastard child. row_33
They always said there were 18,000 Chicago hockey fans in the city and they were at every game, couldn't see a semi-final one year in a sports bar due to Wirtz's tyranny.

I am a Sabres fan through and through...no second teams except anyone playing the Flyers, Leafs or Bruins.. Having said that, I think the Leafs have a legitimate shot to win this series...and i would not have said that after they blew that lead last game of season, they look fantastic! If you are a Leaf fan, what do you think the atmosphere in the building will be if Leafs down 1-0 early 2nd? I say dead as a doornail. row_33
Hockey games are 60 minutes, and some go longer, 2 goal leads are dangerous enough to hold in a hockey game, no fear for a one goal deficit. Not expecting the Leafs to make it to the next round, but they have already given us fans more than we hope for from the start of this season, wasn't expecting playoffs until 2019 under Babcock/Lou... I cheer for the Sabres when the Leafs are out, back to the French Connection days... Toronto games of importance find a way to get 8,000 of the capacity crowd to show up to scream all game long and act as though every play is the most exciting moment of their life, baseball/hoops/hockey. Haven't had the honour of a Leafs playoff game since Cory Cross's OT winner against the Sens about a thousand years ago. Haven't had the honour of a Leafs playoff game since Cory Cross's OT winner against the Sens about a thousand years ago. hard in those big cities with big money...sure this guy has been all over Leaf fandom...but what Steinburg tweeted it Saturday was awesome...now the dude going to next 3 games!!!!! https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/dc-sports-bog/wp/2017/04/17/dart-guy-the-viral-maple-leafs-sensation-will-now-attend-games-3-and-4-in-toronto/?utm_term=.0d328b204dd6 So dude found it cheaper to come to DC for two games than stay in the TO for one....100 level too. Great story on this guy. BTW, had never heard a cigarette called a "dart" ...who knew? Edited April 17, 2017 by plenzmd1
