Over 29 years of fanhood Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Someone needs to crush that twerp. It's incredible to me they refuse to punish that dude.
/dev/null Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Rinne choking again. No way that should have been a 4 on 4 though. Crosby drove Subban's head into the ice repeatedly. If this series makes it to game seven, the Predators should think about benching Rinne. He doesn't seem to fare well in the 'Burgh
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 If this series makes it to game seven, the Predators should think about benching Rinne. He doesn't seem to fare well in the 'Burgh As a Sabres fan with secondary love for the caps, it is infuriating watching a stanley cup finals team skating around Crosby while he is drilling guys faces into the ice, tossing cross checks in the lower back of his guy away from the play, tossing water bottles... and generally acting like the tough guy on the ice. Preds need to start playing like this is a contact sport and deliver some punishment...
gomper Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 This may be the strangest series I've ever seen. The mind numbing gaps in concentration on both sides must have the coaches pulling their collective hair out.

Miyagi-Do Karate Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Someone needs to crush that twerp. Like they try to do every game? I hate the tough guy stuff in hockey but if done smartly, it is a motivator. You can say what you want about Crosby but he is about ten times more skilled than any other player on the ice.
Chandler#81 Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 I predict the Sabres will announce their new coach Monday. In other news, the Cup will be presented to the Penguins on Sunday night..
eball Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Really weird series indeed. The composite score of the five games is 24-6 -- an average margin of victory >3. Very strange series.
Jauronimo Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 My prediction: Nashville wins game 6 on home ice to force 7 before losing 27 - 0 in game 7 at the Igloo. If I'm Laviolette, I bench Rinne in game 7 and go with 6 skaters.
ExiledInIllinois Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 (edited) Can both teams just lose. Cancel Cup... PPD to next year and just have Sabres in it against a team that has the Spanish Flu? Swine or Bird Flu will also work but nothing healthier! Sabres in 7, with a game 7 OT goal by our goalie on a freak bounce. Edited June 9, 2017 by ExiledInIllinois

If I'm Laviolette, I bench Rinne in game 7 and go with 6 skaters. It's been an odd one for sure. I think Nashville blows them out, and it is back to game 7. That's actually what has happened to the Pens twice before in these same playoffs. Huge game 5 blow-out win, followed by game 6 loss.
Alaska Darin Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 It would have been interesting to see Nashville skate the Cup on their home ice. Too bad.
CowgirlsFan Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 Congratulations to the Pens. Especially happy for former Dallas Star Trevor Daley,Bill Guerin and for a short swim Jason Botteril.
plenzmd1 Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 Congrats to the officials. i hate bad calls as much as the next guy, but understand they happen. I am still pissed about the offside way more than this call...will never be convinced they actually saw his skate off the ice, they just assumed it ws.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 !@#$ pittsburgh, !@#$ everything about pittsburgh all that time. them and boston.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 Nice series. Great run for the pens, missing many of their key players for large stretches, including my favorite player, Kris Letang. Can't wait for the victory parade! Predators seem to have a solid nucleus; wouldn't surprise me if they make it pretty deep again next year.
