boco357 Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Reason 442 I hate the NFL, have to turn everything into an event.
Beef Jerky Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Is it in the NFL bylaws that we have to play the Lions every year in week 4? It is a Ralph law. Reason 442 I hate the NFL, have to turn everything into an event. No it isn't...

Buftex Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 (edited) Is it in the NFL bylaws that we have to play the Lions every year in week 4? http://www.canalstreetchronicles.com/2017/4/9/14803462/2017-nfl-preseason-schedule-released-monday-new-orleans-saints-hall-of-fame-game I think it is just an old hand-shake agreement between the Ford family and Ralph, which has carried over, so far. The Panthers, Redskins and Colts seem like pretty usual pre-season opponents for us too. Edited April 10, 2017 by Buftex
PromoTheRobot Posted April 10, 2017 Author Posted April 10, 2017 (edited) It is a Ralph law. I would just like to give it a rest. Probably because week 4 preseason is such a crapfest. Maybe seeing a different team would make it slightly better. Edited April 10, 2017 by PromoTheRobot
KellyToughII Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Reason 442 I hate the NFL, have to turn everything into an event. Agreed.

boyst Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 (edited) Gotta make all my reservations this week for red roof, get on the Atlanta and Charlotte reservations too I'll know Charlotte ahead of time as well as a few more, similar to last yr Edited April 10, 2017 by Boyst62
Buftex Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 I'm hoping the Bills play the Bucs at home, in week 2 or 3. I'll be up there around then...I think it could be a great match-up. He may be a douche, but I think Jamies is going to be a very good QB.
Mark Vader Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Reason 442 I hate the NFL, have to turn everything into an event. Yep. Taking the level of pretentiousness to new heights. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/the-nfl-announces-when-the-nfl-will-announce-the-2017-nfl-preseason-schedule/ Regular season schedule to be out between April 17 and 21. So the NFL can lock down a date to release the preseason schedule, but not the regular season schedule. Got it.
SoCal Deek Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 I always thought it would be cool if the Bills played a 'friendly' against the Argonauts...like they do in soccer.
Buftex Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 I always thought it would be cool if the Bills played a 'friendly' against the Argonauts...like they do in soccer. I think, back in the old AFL days (pre-merger) they used to play CFL teams in exhibition games.
thebug Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 I like when the pre-season schedule is released. Means we are getting closer to summer and it allows me to schedule time off for a trip down for kids day game.
PromoTheRobot Posted April 10, 2017 Author Posted April 10, 2017 I think, back in the old AFL days (pre-merger) they used to play CFL teams in exhibition games. Who's rules did they use? Kind of changes how you game plan, doesn't it?
Beef Jerky Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Yep. Taking the level of pretentiousness to new heights. So the NFL can lock down a date to release the preseason schedule, but not the regular season schedule. Got it. It will be April 20th
CodeMonkey Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 I always thought it would be cool if the Bills played a 'friendly' against the Argonauts...like they do in soccer. The NFL and the players union regulates how often they can wear pads in practice. You think they would allow a "friendly" to be played?
beerme1 Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 I would just like to give it a rest. Probably because week 4 preseason is such a crapfest. Maybe seeing a different team would make it slightly better. No it wouldn't. It really wouldn't. The monly thing that can improve week 4 pre season game is to remove a week 4 from the pre season.
mead107 Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 It's still exciting when they play game 4. That means the season is just around the corner.
