DC Tom Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Opening salvo of 50 missiles at al-Shayrat airfield, so I hear.
GG Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Opening salvo of 50 missiles at al-Shayrat airfield, so I hear. Vladivostok is on high alert I hear.
DC Tom Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Vladivostok is on high alert I hear. I know. I caught the "John has a red ball" code phrase off BBC at the bottom of the hour. And the Yamchurian Candidate is about to give a statement.
Tiberius Posted April 7, 2017 Author Posted April 7, 2017 Now it's up to 70 missiles. Russian had warned against this and said there would be consequences. I hear the missiles flew right over a Russian base, wow. Stay tuned!
FreddieJizzle22 Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Oh my God. Hearing this news makes me......ugh. Why.
Dante Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 So Trump caves to the neocons. Fug me. God damn anyone can see the gas was a false flag. Assad had nothing to gain from this. ISIS everything to gain.
grinreaper Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 I guess Trump took Obama's red line seriously even though Obama didn't.
Tiberius Posted April 7, 2017 Author Posted April 7, 2017 I guess Trump took Obama's red line seriously even though Obama didn't. We are not suppose to get political yet, come on, observe the period of grace!
DC Tom Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 We are not suppose to get political yet, come on, observe the period of grace! Why? CNN isn't? They're already calling him out for hypocrisy. CNN's also reporting that the Russians were NOT forewarned. Operationally sensible, since you'd expect them to turn around and warn the Syrians (and warm up their own AD system) immediately. Politically, though...are you !@#$ing kidding me????

Fox reported the same but said they didn't know if military told them.

This is the part where he's convincing them that he's got a little bit of crazy in him. Also should throw a bit of cold water on the whole "Trump is a Putin puppet" meme.

The first time in the near two decades I've been on this site that I can say I agree with you 100% Tom.
DC Tom Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 The first time in the near two decades I've been on this site that I can say I agree with you 100% Tom. Well, CNN's now reporting that they WERE informed, but at the military level according to the coordination plans in-theater. They're also reporting that the Pentagon has - and is going to share - the radar tracks of the planes taking off from the al-Shayrat and bombing Idlib province, and the IR signatures of the bombs going off. That would be pretty solid intelligence... This is the part where he's convincing them that he's got a little bit of crazy in him. Also should throw a bit of cold water on the whole "Trump is a Putin puppet" meme. Already seeing people saying "He didn't need to tell the Russians, Putin gave him permission before hand."
row_33 Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Not quite as joyful when Reagan hit Libya, hope this sends a warning.

This is such a running story
row_33 Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 A statement that Russian support of Assad isn't unconditional is a go-ahead after the use of chemical weapons.
