TheFunPolice Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 He's getting released.... Why trade anything for him AND be stuck with that contract? Once he is free and clear you an sign him to whatever deal you work out and give up nothing.
YoloinOhio Posted April 3, 2017 Author Posted April 3, 2017 @mclain_on_nfl Texans want Romo but they don't want to trade 4 him. If he's released, they'll pursue him. He'd have to stay healthy to earn a lot of money
mead107 Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 He will not come to the bills because we are tanking next season, right gug?
OldTimeAFLGuy Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 ....VERY shocking....Jerkin' Jerry replays the Orton mess with Romo....Plastic Puss is a real prize..............
YoloinOhio Posted April 3, 2017 Author Posted April 3, 2017 @mikeklis If I'm Tony Romo I force owners' hand by showing up for workouts next week. #awkward! #9sports
3rdand12 Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 I think Romo might be limited to single-level homes at this point. oh my, nice toss !! and agreed @mikeklis If I'm Tony Romo I force owners' hand by showing up for workouts next week. #awkward! #9sports nice drama for football and soap opera fans alike, i suppose.
cba fan Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 Jones is looking more and more like an inept ass hat now.
dpberr Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 and why should he? Jones knows Romo has zero trade value.
likei've Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 (edited) Jones knows Romo has zero trade value. So don't even try? Will it happen, probably not but to not even try seems silly. No one would have ever thought the Osweiler deal would go down the way it did. I'm sure the Texans are happy they put it out there. Edited April 4, 2017 by likei've
Augie Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Jones is looking more and more like an inept ass hat now. Not to quibble, but when it comes to being an ass hat, I think he is over-qualified! So don't even try? Will it happen, probably not but to not even try seems silly. No one would have ever thought the Osweiler deal would go down the way it did. I'm sure the Texans are happy they put it out there. Yes, you give it every opportunity to get value. Why not?
YoloinOhio Posted April 4, 2017 Author Posted April 4, 2017 I love how none of the GMs trust Jerruh Romo is probably locked in a basement somewhere at Valley Ranch.
YoloinOhio Posted April 4, 2017 Author Posted April 4, 2017 @rapsheet Neither the #Broncos, nor the #Texans, will trade for #Cowboys QB Tony Romo, sources says. Still. Todays news didnt alter the plans.
PlayoffsPlease Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Not to quibble, but when it comes to being an ass hat, I think he is over-qualified! Yes, you give it every opportunity to get value. Why not? Jones has a net worth of 5 billion. He has won three super bowls. Yet bulletin board jockeys are confident enough to call him an ass-hat. Only too funny.
YoloinOhio Posted April 4, 2017 Author Posted April 4, 2017 @adamschefter Tony Romo is leaving football and going into broadcasting, even with Dallas planning to release him today, sources tell @toddarcher and me.
aristocrat Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Take watson at 10. Trade tt for 25! Boom Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
YoloinOhio Posted April 4, 2017 Author Posted April 4, 2017 @rapsheet Tony Romo has broadcasting opportunities from CBS and FOX, among others. He still has the itch, but those chances are too good to pass up @profootballtalk Prediction (not entirely a guess): The Romo broadcasting contract will let him return to football during the season if he chooses.
YoloinOhio Posted April 4, 2017 Author Posted April 4, 2017 @rapsheet The #Broncos are moving forward with Trevor Siemian & Paxton Lynch. #Texans moving forward with Tom Savage & likely the draft for a QB.
Best Player Available Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 So Romo is retiring. So should this Romo thread on a Bills board. Career highlight--- winning 2 playoff games. Big whoop. As a successfull NFL QB he has very little to discuss in depth as a broadcaster. Adios to Jerry's chump qb of "americas team"
YoloinOhio Posted April 4, 2017 Author Posted April 4, 2017 @caplannfl Romo's decision impacts QB situations for multiple teams... Will be an interesting period leading up to the draft.
