PromoTheRobot Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 <p> The Stadium Wall Leadership Council: Yolo No Saint Bandit Beerball I second
fansince88 Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 What is this another episode of Survivor? It is pretty easy to tell a true leader of a pack. Williams is definitely an alpha dog who leads by example. If you need a council to define that, you might want to get everyone a participation trophy.Welp, you missed the point for sure!

Tenhigh Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 First thing he's doing that I admire. The team needs guys with C's on their chest. Are we not doing "phrasing" anymore?
hondo in seattle Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Under Rex: Discipline issues among players (not on time, sleeping, etc.) Lack of work ethic from the head coach Poor execution of the basics -- knowing alignments, getting plays in on time, etc Despite this lack of foundation -- a cocky arrogance Under McD: Player friendly but also player driven Attention to detail Great work ethic from the coaching staff Humility Focus on the fundamentals - coaches prepared, player discipline, blocking and tackling, maximum effort Give me McD--I like what we are seeing......but all that matters are the W's.... Rex was loved but not respected...Players don't work hard when they don't respect the leader. I want this to be true. There are some hits this is true. But as you say, show me the W's. Sometimes leaders and organizations superficially do all the right things but don't actually drive results. Hope that's not the case here.

Someone else pointed out that McDermott's never been a head coach-- so all we have are others opinions of him... Bill Polian: http://buffalonews.com/2017/01/27/polian-couldnt-happier-bills-choice-mcdermott/ Ron Rivera and Luke Kuechly: http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/Carolinas-Rivera-Kuechly-attest-to-McDermotts-readiness/8862e635-57e3-42bb-a94a-5cba2073ec55 Andy Reid and Mike Tomlin: http://billswire.usatoday.com/2017/01/13/sean-mcdermott-mike-tomlin-andy-reid-buffalo-bills/ Plus he's hired a very experienced and respected staff. He seemed to value experience more than any other trait. We can't tell how he will coach in a game..but I don't remember the Panthers D being overly penalized -- last year only 24 defensive penalties the entire year and I can't ever remember one for 10 men on the field.. http://www.nflpenalties.com/team/carolina-panthers?year=2016 Edited April 4, 2017 by JoeF
BmarvB Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 I like where this guy's head is. Definitely a man with a plan, focus, and direction. He's making a very good first impression so far. Now if this translated into wins on the field, we're playoff bound in 17 or 18.
papazoid Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 will your best player shady be on the council ? seeing as he is already showing great leadership
Tenhigh Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 will your best player shady be on the council ? seeing as he is already showing great leadership I would say that missing a VOLUNTARY meeting to attend your child's birthday shows good leadership. It tells me his priorities are in order. And besides, Shady isn't the problem here.
