"Rumblings out of Western New York that some are already anxious that head coach Sean McDermott has yet to take the Bills to the playoffs. One source is quoted as saying McDermott was hired to do one thing. 'We're a week into voluntary stretching and the Bills are no closer to the playoffs than last season.' 'He's eating dinner with alumni, putting up slogans around the training facility, but where are the wins?'

Fractures seem to be appearing already when star running back LeSean McCoy chose to attend his son's birthday party instead of a voluntary workout. We've yet to confirm this is contract-related but it's just a matter of time before this dumpster fire rages out of control."

thanks for the good chuckle while at work lunch break

"The world is a tragedy to those who feel, but a comedy to those who think." -- Horace Walpole

This is in Promo's sig line.......but NOBODY FEELS THE STING of any organizational criticism more than he.

To the unindoctrinated BBMB'ers.....Promo is our chief resident fan-hater/blamer/shamer......"The Franchise Whiner" as I once dubbed him.

Usually his posts are criticisms of fans.......which is a frustration displacement technique because he feels like he can't be critical of the organization and still be a fan so he takes it out on anyone here who holds the organization accountable for their losing.

His best post ever though was a drunken one during preseason after he had been out at a bar and was contemplating why God was so cruel to his Bills. Why? Why?

The PRESEASON mind you.

Not the regular season.

PRACTICE season.

It's entertainment folks......don't take it so seriously.

YOU STARTED THE THREAD.......WITH BAIT!

This is why you are "The straw that stirs the drink" of TSW.

It was more a parody of some media than a critique of the fans, but thank you for your attention.

Overall I think we have not had a head coach like this really ever at OBD. I like McD's style, demeanor and energy. I did not feel like this with either Doug or Rex...this just feels different.

As a fellow coach and talent evaluator, he is saying all the right things and posturing himself in a way that conveys strength and wisdom. Now that combination we have had here before, and that resulted into some serious wins.

I know you have to have the players too, but man without good leadership you can't even sniff championships these days. Let's just hope that he has the full support of the organization and Whaley either knows his place and backs down a bit or Terry and Kim give him the boot. Either way I think McD should be running the show until proven otherwise.

Definitely encouraging. He seems to have the old school edge. With willingness to keep an open mind and look to future / adapt as necessary. One of biggest challenges is maintaining respect and some degree of fear from multimillionaire 20 something year old guys, while still creating team building relationship. He might have it.

I hope you are right about never having a coach like McDermott. Won't go back to Levy and before b/c it was a different era. Had high hopes for Mularkey, but he is a fake tough guy that players see through. Jauron did not have the personality or open mind. Wade was almost there but missing the final ingredient, difference between a really good #2 and underperforming CEO. G. Williams and Marrone were dolts and FOS. G. Williams brought in one of the worst coaching staffs of all time and talked Super Bowl before a 3 -13 season. Rex has too many shortcomings to mention.

Wow, Just got depressed writing that and didn't even get to Chan. I loved Marv though, and McD seems like a guy who can similar success. We are due for a good one.

One positive out of this report is the noted absence of the word dysfunctional. The new PR machine is working!
