#34fan Posted April 6, 2017 Author Posted April 6, 2017 Don't shatter things for 99% of people that think snaps under center is how to ID a "pro-style" offense. He could do it if he had to. That was my point. Pistol.. Shotgun. Whatever. Put Walker next to Mitch Tu-risky, and he out-performs the 13-start Tarheel easily.
Eric Moulds on my A** Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 I'm all for the rounds 5-7 upside. The Pryor experiment worked, basketball players turning NFLer is becoming more common. Even our very own Logan Thomas is mid position change. Let's take upside athlete QBs and provide the necessary coaching.. see what happens. At the very least we would have QB's with similar assets to play in case Tyrod gets hurt. Maybe even find a diamond in the rough.
Mountain Man Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 Alex Torgerson. Strong, accurate and good arm strength.
ajmac Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 Interesting for a late round pick or UFA prospect at least. Pretty sure we wouldn't draft another guy like that when we already have to medium size and large size version of that already On the roster.
YoloinOhio Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 @aaron_wilsonNFL Temple quarterback Phillip Walker draft stock rising, visited Packers, Bills, Giants, per sources, to attend Eagles' local prospect day
#34fan Posted April 16, 2017 Author Posted April 16, 2017 @aaron_wilsonNFL Temple quarterback Phillip Walker draft stock rising, visited Packers, Bills, Giants, per sources, to attend Eagles' local prospect day 'Bout time!
BillsCelticsAngelsBama Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 Based on what? From that highlight video alone, we see him holding the ball too long.... Nice late round project, sure. Agree. Maybe a little North East bias going on around here. #TempleLove
row_33 Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 If those with years of experience entrusted to be paid a ton of $$$ can't do more than hit or miss unless it's a Peyton Manning, fans are about 1 millionth worse off thinking they have the answer. And they'll remember the 2 they were right on over 50 years and forget the 115 they touted...
BillsMedia Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 'Bout time! He's not an NFL QB. Practice Squad/CFL caliber at best, more along the lines of Arena Football.
BillsfanAZ Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 He has a good arm and throws a nice ball. I would like to see his short passing game and how he does against better competition.
BillsMedia Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 Reminds me of Shane Cardon from ECU a couple years back.
PolishDave Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 He is athletic for sure. Looks like he stares down receivers though nearly every single time in those highlights.
DefenseWins Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 I truly hope Phil makes it to the right team's camp... He's a tough little guy with brains to match his b#lls.... Mitch Trubisky??? -PUH - LEAZE! That's Mitchell...
gr8billsfan Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 (edited) He beat Jabrill Peppers during the Michigan game on quite a few throws. He threw a 70yd TD after being hurt and limping. He's a competitor for sure. Edited April 17, 2017 by gr8billsfan
Doc Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 This is déjà vu from last year. This guy sounds like Vernon Adams v2.0
#34fan Posted April 18, 2017 Author Posted April 18, 2017 He's not an NFL QB. Practice Squad/CFL caliber at best, more along the lines of Arena Football. I wouldn't be shocked if he ended up in Canada.... I definitely get that "Russ Wilson" vibe from Walker... He's capable of anything if given a chance... This is déjà vu from last year. This guy sounds like Vernon Adams v2.0 Wait... Vernon Adams passed for over 10,000 yards in his college career?
Doc Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Wait... Vernon Adams passed for over 10,000 yards in his college career? Yes. 13,081 yards, to be precise.
KD in CA Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 (edited) Eh, speedy QB hitting wide open first reads, simply taking off on foot otherwise....Same exact guy, every single year. Only the name changes. And none of them do squat in the NFL. Edited April 18, 2017 by KD in CA
