Speaking of lefty on lefty..Callaway did the same thing on Sunday with Conforto. I said before,I will say it again...Mick has to start making better and stronger decisions.a few weeks ago, before the afternoon start in St.Louis...DiSarcina was interviewed...he stated Callaway was coming up to him for advice....not sure who walked behind the camera but the person said "the interview is over". THIS! I didn’t like Collins because I did not think he was a quality major league manager and was more suited for the minor leagues. He didn’t hold players accountable, played it to conservatively for my liking, small ball didn’t exist under his tenure, managed the bullpen poorly(just like Mickey is doing), and nothing seemed to improve under him they carried the same deficiencies every year. There is no reason you cannot hire a better manager. I would have backed up the brinks truck once Joe Maddon parted ways with the Rays, and thanked Terry for his service.

I actually liked Terry a lot. I agree with every single one of your criticisms - especially bullpen management. But I do think he was a great manager who had to deal with far more injuries than any other manager in the league (possibly ever). Terry is in my top 3 of all time, as far as Mets managers go (Bobby V., Davey J.).

DiSarcina posted a different card in the dugout...didn't match what was given to the umpire. So Bruce gets the out without a plate appearance..Cab's double doesn't count.

How about the worst Mets managers? Art Howe and (unfortunately) Bud Harrelson come to mind. 1 minute ago, Misterbluesky said: DiSarcina posted a different card in the dugout...didn't match what was given to the umpire. SmokinES3 Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 Unreal... Why do we submit ourselves to this type of emotional abuse every year?

Trust me,I asked myself the same question a few hours ago. It's a beautiful day here in the B-low 'burbs and I'm still watching the game in the house. On a positive note the "Dream Wheeler" pitched well...he wasn't forcing his pitches at all.Hang in there.....

Another Fan Posted May 9, 2018 Author Posted May 9, 2018 Were 17-3 against the Reds the last three years. They have the worst record in baseball. Figured at worst only one loss. Still have some faith in Mickey but he needs to have some closed door meetings/shake ups. 1

You know what,Gunnery,i'm beginning to think DiSarcina is the weak link in Mick's "mistakes". I sure do love the honesty and the "taking it like a man" attitude that Callaway tried to shine in his post game interview.Something is brewing between Mick and DiSarcina...bank on it.Just go back to the Cards series...that pregame interview with DiSarcina was downright awkward.I applaud Mick for taking the bullet today.....he could have thrown his bench coach under the bus..but he didn't. 1

Because the Mets are the perfect complement to the Bills? It does get tiresome, but it's that much sweeter when we win. Even though they both came up short, the Bills making the playoffs was amazing and the Mets World Series run a few years ago was un-Billievable. Better times ahead. 1
Gugny Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Nothing Earth-shattering from Keith there (for those of us who watch all/most of the games), but I always appreciate his take on things. On another note, I forgot all about Rich Eisen and I have no idea what "Audience," is! 1 1

The take-away for me was when Keith mentioned how Mesoraco pushed Wheeler along through a good start the other day.

A-Gon hasn't exactly cemented himself at first. He's just up for the weekend but hopefully he's putting himself in position for a mid-season call-up.
