It's pathetic and it's embarrassing. I cannot stand that fake ***** and I wish he would just disappear. Guess I'll have to wait for another phantom "hand injury" to cut his season short, coincidentally aligning with the beginning of college football season. Could be worse....they could be telling us Cespedes is going to play. Oh wait....they're doing that too. I actually don't have any problem with Tebow.

I just think the guy is a phony, selfish douchebag. Every at bat he takes in spring training is one less at bat that a real baseball player isn't getting. He knows it's marketing and he doesn't give a *****. He's a dick.

SinceThe70s Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 Shout out to my middle schooler for sending me this link about the Mets cookie club: https://www.mlb.com/news/mets-2019-cookie-club As an aside, two years ago I would have been mortified at the thought of Dom Smith in a cookie club. 1

Another Fan Posted March 8, 2020 Author Posted March 8, 2020 The home opener is coming up sooner vs later, March 26th. So I wonder how many people will call out from work with "Coronavirus like symptoms". ? When I was a teenager I might have been half tempted too. But ultimately I wouldn't have went through with it

JO, Fonzie, Rey Rey and Ventura (another guy I always liked long before he came to NY) are my favorite infield ever. 1

I'm skeptical. My first thought is it's not a great time to head to a hospital for elective surgery. Hope all is well with you and yours too! 1

Mike Francesa went on some tirade about him getting special treatment for surgery for being an athlete in the current climate. I didn't feel like listening to him so I turned that off after 2 minutes. Hope you and fam are good as well along with the other met fans here 1
Golden Goat Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 Not a fan of Thor and his "me-first" attitude (reminiscent of Matt Harvey). On one hand, I wanted the Mets trade his ass last year. On the other hand, I didn't, because BVW probably would have gotten Mario Mendoza in return. 1
SinceThe70s Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 So what happens to a NY baseball writer during the Coronavirus lockdown? Robert Kraft becomes the Mets savior in grace! Someone oughta take that writers temperature. https://nypost.com/2020/04/10/robert-kraft-would-be-perfect-owner-to-lead-mets-into-new-era/
SinceThe70s Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 SNY is replaying the 1969 WS this week starting tonight at 7:30.

It really wasn't the happiest few years either in my life so maybe that's why I remember it so badly? But anyway I do recall him being a nice/decent man. I was saddened to read that. I hope he recovers 1
