Chicago ran out of chalk?

Unbelievable. Looked foul, but no way to tell without a foul line. On the other hand I think they caught a break when the ball hit the ump.

Just a couple fyi's  for you fellas....

Bullpen has a 3.34 era since the break

Rosie hit .350 in July.

Rosario - best in baseball (I think - maybe just NL) for July.

What was up last night with McNeil grabbing his wrist/hand during his last AB?  I was unable to watch today's game, but I see that he played/got a hit.  Did anyone mention anything about his wrist/hand?

No..nothing at length or worth mentioning that I recall.

They did show a clip on "Disco Night"...

Check out the replay of McNeil's grab....I really think the entire net is a great idea.

Was at Citi Field last weekend and me and my son were talking about whether the Mets would/should extend the netting to the foul pole. They probably don't need to due to the way the stands bump out past the infield.

On a somewhat related note, the advertising on the foul pole screens is an abomination.

It’s still the equivalent of spring training when it comes to Cano and running.

Are you basing that just on this year? If I did the math right, from 2007-2017 he only sat out around 40 games. Couldn't have done that in spring training shape, could he?

It does raise the question of whether his durability was "performance enhanced".

Watched both games while working ?

I had a feeling if familia held it down in the second game we could come back. JD needs to be in the lineup full-time imo.
