zow2 Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Wrong Nate. Nate Odomes please. Yeah when i glanced at the name Nate, i immediately thought Odomes. Those were my prime younger years of going to Bills games.
WhoTom Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 They would definitely call a penalty on that play today....it was Brady! Yeah I know - that's why I said it shouldn't draw a flag. There's two reasons it probably would anyway: 1) Golden Boy; 2) in real time it looked like he went for the head - it was only in slo-mo that I saw what really happened. (Another reason to allow challenges on penalties.)
iinii Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 I'll take clements Thanks. I was already in Nate's corner but that seals the deal.
Santana Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Nate Clements, not even close. Much better tackler.
H2o Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Clements. He's played the game with a physicality that Gilmore does not and this to go with the fact that he was clearly a #1 CB.
Bray Wyatt Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 No Kirby Jackson love? He got me like 10 ints in a season of Tecmo Bowl once
Formerly Allan in MD Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Clements was a tackling machine on run support. More consistent coverage skills. The clear choice. Gilmore was the avoid tackling machine.
Paup 1995MVP Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 This is a tough call for me. I am going to say Clements. He seemed to give an overall better effort. What do you think? Is this post stupid? Are you wondering why you even clicked on it? You stole my user name. LOL You know what's up about Bryce Paup. The man had game. Probably a lot of people on the message have no idea who he was as they think Bills football started with Fred Jackson and Kyle Williams. But to your original question. Clements over Gilmore every day and twice on Sundays. Clements is just a better football player and athlete in my opinion. Gilmore's technique is to hold the receiver all over the field. Good riddance to that puscatore! Another corner who would have been really good back in the day, but for injuries was Marlon Kerner. He would have been better then Gilmore also.
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 (edited) This is a tough call for me. I am going to say Clements. He seemed to give an overall better effort. What do you think? Is this post stupid? Are you wondering why you even clicked on it? Interesting. Clements was better in run support, Gilmore better in man coverage. It would be a scheme decision for me. Both very similar solid starting players. Gilly will prob get a ring Edited March 30, 2017 by Over 28 years of fanhood
Stranded in Boston Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 I'll go with Robert James as best ever for the Bills Clements over Gilmore. Robert James over EVERYONE else. One of the best players, regardless of position, that ever laced them up. Gentlemen, I'm with you on Robert James. (See my avatar! )
Augie Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 I LOVED Robert James. But Butch Byrd is my all time favorite for several reasons.
Buffaloed in Pa Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 I`ll take Nate all day. Stoner eyes and all.
transplantbillsfan Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Neither. Give me Antoine Winfield. He is one player that the Bills should have kept. This... by far... As to the question, Clements x 1000. Clements was much better as a Bill. He wasn't as successful when he left, but he was better than Gilmore as a Buffalo Bill.
Chandler#81 Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 I LOVED Robert James. But Butch Byrd is my all time favorite for several reasons. Yep. In my opinion, they are the Best 2 cornerbacks in team history. Great players, but kind of sad we haven't had anyone in 45+ years to clearly top them.
