Jasovon Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 As we are now in the abyss that is between free agency and the draft, i figure now is as good a time as any for a far too early prediction for the 2017 season. I'm going with 9-7. Our defense will be better this year just with the Ryan Brothers gone, and our offense does what our offense does. If Sammy can stay healthy maybe 10-6 but i realistically see our first season with McDermott having a ceiling of 9 wins and no playoffs.
flutie5 Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 11-5 and make it to the second round of the playoffs
ALF Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 If the D can recover , 9-7 . Player turnover , new coaches , new playbooks , it will take at least the 2018 draft to restock.
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 way way to early. but I'll go with my optimistic Bills homer style and say 10 wins. At worse ....... 8 wins. Anything less than 8 is a huge failure. not sure if that was my head or heart speaking
Gugny Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Rookie HC. + No change at QB + Depletion of contributing starters (4-12)
teef Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 just because there's no way to know, i'd guess the ever so safe record of 7-9. it's just so comfortable.
frostbitmic Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 We've lost our defensive genius HC and his brother, that should be worth 2 more wins right there .... 9-7
bisonbrigade Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 5-11 No qb vs good qb's. You are way to pessimistic about next year. I say 6-10.
Elite Poster Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 8-8 eyoooo sound the alarms. I'll echo a sentiment above, no QB vs good QBs. Beat the Jets twice, split the dolphins, beat colts, chargers, Bengals, panthers, and saints.
BuffaloMatt Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Currently were are tied for 1st. I'll just stop there and enjoy the moment.
jeffismagic Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 5-11. No young QB is drafted and developed. Rex Ryan is blamed at the end of the year for switching the scheme two years ago and Bills fans are told we need another draft to supply linebackers, safeties, corners, pass rushers, and wide receivers to help Tyrod.
GunnerBill Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 At the moment it feels like 7-9 territory again again. The D needs to respond back in a 4-3, with hopefully Shaq stepping up to what I believe he can be.... Ragland proving me wrong in his suitability for a MLB in this system and a couple of new contributors drafted this year in the secondary. On offense I see a small regression and at the moment the schedule does look tough. I think 8-8 or better and I'd go into 2018 really believing that will be the year the drought ends.
BringBackFergy Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Rookie HC. + No change at QB + Depletion of contributing starters (4-12) Wanna bet??
Gugny Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Wanna bet?? LMAO What's the wager? Vintage Girl Scout cookies??
Wing Man Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 There are going to be some growing pains with the new coaching staff. The quality of the roster is lacking in places. Even a good draft wouldn't solve the many deficiencies. The Bills are weighed down by a brutal schedule this year as well. This is a team that is one, probably two years away from being a real contender for a playoff spot. This is a 7-9 team as composed at best.
