NewEra
I'm totally fine with this with hopes that Sammy is healthy this year. Holmes is a good blocker and a big target. Considering our team makeup and likely game plan, #2 WR isn't very important. I'd ether draft Howard if we want a target in the passing game. Would prefer defense though. Really hope we try and load up on talent on the defensive side of the ball, although I suspect we take a QB somewhere in the first 3 rds. Hopefully we can trade down and grab an extra pick or 2 Edited March 28, 2017 by NewEra
EersN'Bills
I sense a smokescreen. I'm starting to have a feeling it'll be Williams or Davis if they don't trade back- which is what I think they should do- because looking at the roster, I don't see a #2 WR in there. Not to mention this is a draft with a deep DB pool.
r00tabaga
Gordon hasn't practiced or played in how long? He won't be the same player you guys envision. Too much time away.
BuffaloHokie13
Now I see where you're coming from, thanks. I stand by my view on WR early in the draft. For what it's worth, I don't want WR at 10 either. Can see Zay Jones at 44 or the best of the rest at 75 though.
Jamie Muellers Ghost
I think Foster could be gone at 9 to Cincy after they waved Ray Maualuga this week. I hope its a smoke screen as I really want Davis, but maybe that means Foster or trade down?
r00tabaga
I think Foster could be gone at 9 to Cincy after they waved Ray Maualuga this week. That was his projected spot even before Rey was cut. Makes the most sense now. This has Patrick Willis written all over it.
Buffalo Barbarian
Lying season? Or truth? @mikerodak http://www.espn.com/espn/now?nowId=21-0638388264230722460-4 What he really is saying is, is we ARE GOING TO RUN THE ROCK and minimize TT's flaws. I expect another defense heavy draft and a battle for WR PT between Brown / Holmes / Butler / Listenbee / Powell / Lewis / late draft pick yep, which is why a redid my mock draft for defense heavy. Riverboat Richie
Foster or Howard With the interest in Full Backs I would suspect Howard for the run heavy offense. Pass catching makes him more of a consideration.

K-9
QB ain't coming off the board until 12th at the earliest. While I agree in general, there are teams that may want to jump the Browns if they believe their guy is being targeted by Cleveland. But it's such a generic QB group, it may not matter. Perfectly reasonable to think that if a team misses out on QB A, they are just as OK with QB B.
Buffalo Barbarian
Tampa moved on from Freeman, Titans moved on from Locker, Jaguars moved on from Gabbert, Vikings moved on from Ponder. Life moves on, the league moves on, the Bills need a talented rookie QB to develop behind Taylor this season. Chad Kelly
Direhard Fan
Don't forget Listenbee. Last year guy didn't play but was expected to be great. Actually we had three guys that we drafted that we expected to be great and didn't play at all or very little. Great draft. We keep saying TT is a bridge. I believe he will shine this year. Draft "D" and be happy.
papazoid
technically , wr2 is on the roster all he neglected to add was they are always looking to upgrade every position so who ever is wr2 today, may not be tomorrow. these coaches and front office guys practice saying nothing.....err, not tipping their hand on future plans

Beef Jerky
Of course the #2 is on the roster... You can't just skip to #3, that would be ludacris.
YoloinOhio
Possibly McD is trying to create a sense of competition among all the WRs on the roster during OTAs. By putting this out there, they feel they have a shot to earn that job and will go out trying to do that. Eventually they may add someone but if so, it makes your 3rd, 4th option that much more ready. A guy like Holmes who has been trying to get on the field and feels he's a #2 should approach it that way. If they all think they have no chance to earn that spot, they won't be as driven imo. wilcoam
If McDermott honestly believes there is a legitimate #2 WR on this team then the Pegulas should start looking for the next coach right away. Hopefully it's a smokescreen for the draft/trades/etc. I concur 100%, IMO we not only don't have a legit WR#2 currently on the roster, we also don't have a legit WR#3, IMO HC Sean needs new eyeglasses, at least in terms of his WR evaluation, but I also think its simply a smokescreen jc Edited March 29, 2017 by wilcoam
