Who has been more loyal, seriously, the Bills to Travis or Travis to the Bills? If anything, Travis has been more loyal to the team than they have to him. He was signed to a fair but fairly low contract. He was given a very low extension when he needed and asked for it, which was hardly generous. He played his ass off, performed better than expected, made the pro bowl and was rewarded with Willis McGahee. Granted, Travis has also been a pain in the ass, a fumbler, a whiner, an off the field nuisance, and injuyy prone. His time as a Bill is over completely. But he worked his ass off for the most part on the Bills and the team voted him MVP and the Bills were no more loyal to him than he was to them.

The Bills made a smart business move is what they did when they drafted Willis. The lifespan of an NFL halfback is very short. Travis has shown a penchant for injuries already. He seems to fight through most of them, but they take their toll over time. The Bills were just protecting their depth and Travis immediately took that as a "slap in the face" and has whined ever since to anyone that would listen to him. The Bills helped him out when he blew his money and needed a new deal. Sure, they lowballed him, but a smart businessman would in that situation.

The Bills have been great to Travis, a lot of teams passed on him, but we gave him a shot. He was an alright player, but a horrible person.

Good riddance Travis.

You might be right, there are still many who feel we can get a Pro Bowler for this guy.  He's a mentally challenged trouble maker who could care less about the team and we need to unload him for a box of jock straps if we can.

So then you would advocate cutting him? I mean, if he is mentally challenged and a trouble maker and not worth anything more than a box of jock straps, then why not just let him go since it is plainly obvious we are going to get absolutely nothing of value for him?

Oh, that's right, because we're all a bunch of yoyos posting messages on an internet message board and there are real NFL people who actually know what to do with a player of Henry's caliber.

(Editor's Note: Sometimes a kinder, gentler TBD sucks the big weenie.)

Honestly if we can't get a player that can start for us now or a high draft pick, we should just keep him and let him ride the pine and let him walk next year.

Hmmm..

Shelton, Henry & McGahee.. I wonder if JP can run the 'wishbone'?

Rumors of an even-up swap of Cardinals OT L.J. Shelton for Bills RB Travis Henry continued to swirl, but Cardinals head coach Dennis Green has always seemed to favor speed backs such as Robert Smith and Michael Bennett, and our sources believe Henry just isn't particularly well-suited for the style of offense Green has in mind.

Straight from ESPn insider, well looks like we need someone else for left tackle.

I think the only possibility is to get a second for Henry somehow, then trade that pick for shelton, maybe.

Remember, this is the time of year that Coaches feed reporters stories in order to get the other team a little more desperate. Might be true, might not, but I am not sure what interest Dennis Green would have to lay his cards on the table to some reporter.

I didn't think it was possible but I lost even more respect for a poster on this board.

Ouch.

Who respects anyone around here?

Why exactly would Arizona want to trade for Henry when he is already demanding a long term deal. Does he not understand that he isn't in a position to demand a long term deal? He sat on the bench all season. He has no leverage. He needs to just shut up and play ball for Arizona and earn a new contract like they want him to.

That's why Arizona has always been in the bottom of the league and will continue to remain there. Any decision they make always backfires. This time will be no different. I'm not saying Henry would be the answer in Arizona but at least right now he can still be considered a #1 running back. Now the Cardinals will draft a RB and he won't develop for a couple years and then will leave as a free agent after his first contract and the Cardinals will sign Henry anyways when he is even more washed up four years from now. Makes me wonder how some people get these jobs in the NFL.

Just last week Clayton said this was a done deal. What has happened to ESPN? They report anything fact or not these days just to report on something. What a great job. Make stuff up and get your two minutes of camera time and get paid for it.

I'm not worried. The Bills will get an OL in the next day or so (I know who I want but I am not saying so I don't jinx it) and will trade Henry somewhere for a 3rd-4th round pick.

You answered your own question. I wonder who it was that predicted that Henry wouldn't go to Arizona based on a simple fact that Clayton said it would happen.

If Lenny P, or even Mort breaks the news, you have a high degree of confidence that a deal is done. Clayton is one level above the keyboard happy degenerates that like to spend their days on sites like these.
