Captain Murica Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Crichton was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings with the 8th pick in the 3rd round (72th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.[7] In the 2014 season, Crichton played in 8 games with 0 starts.[8] On December 10, 2015, Crichton suffered a concussion in the Minnesota Vikings' loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Then on December 19, 2015, Crichton was placed on Injured Reserve.[9] Before his 2015 season prematurely ended, Crichton played in 13 games with 0 starts.[8] On August 31, 2016, Crichton was placed on injured reserve after clearing waivers.[10] On March 24, 2017, Crichton was released by the Vikings.[11] Buffalo BillsOn March 27, 2017 Crichton was claimed off of waivers by the Buffalo Bills. Maybe concussion issues? He was noted to be one of the better prospects in the 2014 draft and projected to be a 2nd rounder. Hopefully this is another one of those junkyard dogs that Whaley finds and turns out to be a positive for us.
LEBills Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Good deal! Guy was stuck behind some good players, maybe he can get his shot here.
Eric Moulds on my A** Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 They really liked him. What happened? His stint in Minnesota seems marred by injury. I read in an article that Zimmer was giving him a shot at Tackle this past summer. Can't find too much else on the guy. Depth at best?
bilzfancy Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 I had hoped the Bills would draft him, was a good pass rusher in college
YoloinOhio Posted March 27, 2017 Author Posted March 27, 2017 Whaley really liked him for a 4-3 when he was coming out of college so must be worth a shot if healthy. He does have a knack for finding guys like this who are castoffs elsewhere.
HappyDays Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 This is an underrated signing, he has a very good chance to get his career back on track here. It's exactly the kind of guy that Whaley has been good at finding and I bet he exceeds expectations.
YoloinOhio Posted March 27, 2017 Author Posted March 27, 2017 Jerel Worthy from last year was a similar signing
NewEra Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Love this. Hopefully he can stay healthy. Could be really solid depth
Pbomb Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 adds some more depth at de with some potential, good move
r00tabaga Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Is he related to Michael Crichton? Michael Crichton? No your thinking of Michael Clayton. Lol
TPS Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 This from an espn piece: "Crichton was never able to show a thorough enough command of the Vikings' defense to earn regular playing time, however, and after he started only one game in his first two NFL seasons, he was placed on injured reserve before the 2016 season." A bit Surprising. Hopefully McD's defense is straightforward for the front 4.
Jamie Muellers Ghost Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Hoping for some Jerry Hughes type karma.

BillsfanAZ Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 I hope he can turn his career around. Maybe a change of scenery and a new scheme will do him good
