Buffalo_Stampede Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 And I continue to hear that new Bills coach Sean McDermott has growing cache with ownership and that team could be bringing in vice presidents and/or personnel figures with ties to the coach in the near future. Panthers director of player personnel is someone particularly well thought of who could end up in Buffalo after the draft in one capacity or another. There are already rumblings that the marriage of McDermott and Bills Gm Doug Whaley likely isn’t built to last. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/redskins-casting-wide-net-in-gm-search-that-might-ultimately-result-in-few-takers/
FireChan Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 McD ain't letting Whaley throw him under the bus.
Bill_with_it Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 What, I thought Whaley is the best and there werent any disagreements/feuds with him and every single coaching staff that have coached with the Bills since Whaley taking over as GM???

jeffismagic Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 If McDermott has all this power what difference does it make which errand boy gets the title of GM?

jeffismagic Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Whaley should've been fired with Rex and the new front office should've made the coaching hire. Like most functional franchises operate. But we like to do things the Bills way. Pegula heard that Mcdermott is a wrestler. He brings it up all the time.
Bray Wyatt Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Pure speculation! LaCanfora is a fool. Ah I just saw that he wrote it, everyone please disregard!
dpberr Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 We really should stop discussing this guy's "reporting" about the Bills.

Others - like La Canfora - use "rumblings" as sources. Edited March 23, 2017 by hondo in seattle
Bangarang Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 It actually wouldn't surprise me if Whaley was on the hot seat and McD ended up getting more control of the team.
Jerry Jabber Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Pegula heard that Mcdermott is a wrestler. He brings it up all the time. "Whatcha gonna do brutha..." We're going through growing pains with the Pegula's as they're still trying to figure out how to be successful sports owners. They got duped by Wrecks, so now they're infatuated with McDermott.

Dorkington Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 All it took was a few weeks before Whaley and coach drama? Well done media.
KellyToughII Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Whaley should already be gone. I hope his butt is fired soon, I would much prefer before the draft.
