YoloinOhio Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 @rapsheet Sources: #Saints coach Sean Payton & Johnny Manziel were spotted together Super Bowl week, at breakfast. They discussed a return to football FA QB Johnny Manziel has kept a low-profile as he trains for a return. #Saints coach Sean Payton appears to have taken an interest in him. The #Saints still need a backup QB. Payton could make the most of Manziels talent. Drew Brees would be a perfect mentor. A lot makes sense.
Royale with Cheese Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 NOLA isn't a party scene. Perfect for Manziel.
Hurricane Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 NOLA isn't a party scene. Perfect for Manziel. Lol...... for sure....
Mike in Horseheads Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 NOLA isn't a party scene. Perfect for Manziel. Good thing its a dry town and state.
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 He never shouldve been drafted when he was. It was a bush league russ brandon "splash" move to sell tickets... Now all of those people have been fired except for the owner who probably made the call.
26CornerBlitz Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Johnny the Saint?!? Somehow that does not sound right.
Kirby Jackson Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 I vow to look after JFF if he makes his way here.
JohnBonhamRocks Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Can just see him passed out in a Bourbon Street gutter...
Beef Jerky Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Hahaha he had breakfast... They are going to sign Manziel!!
One Before I Die Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Probably an unpopular opinion but I'm completely rooting for him. I would love to see him make a comeback and get back into the league. The kid has too much talent for what he's given the NFL to this point.
bobs0108 Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 I think that it would be a good fit and test him since Nola is a party town to see if he is a changed man.

YoloinOhio Posted March 23, 2017 Author Posted March 23, 2017 He's engaged now. Sober. Settling down! I don't think he's a good QB but let's see if he gets one more shot what he does with it. With Kirby as his fall guy, of course.
H2o Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Lost in sauce but now he's back! Yeah, that YM/OVO lifestyle will get you every time
r00tabaga Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 If it doesn't work out there I heard Las Vegas is getting a team. Another dry town, a little further out west.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 NOLA isn't a party scene. Perfect for Manziel. HAHAHA CBF
transient Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 I vow to look after JFF if he makes his way here. I trust you'll keep him from urinating in my driveway?
BillsFan4 Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 I'm glad to hear he might get a second chance. It'd be great for him to learn from Payton and Brees. But I'd be worried for the kid's sobriety if he were living in New Orleans. Part of being and staying sober is "people, places, things". You really need to avoid temptation, especially for the first couple of years sober, and NO is a big drinking and drug town. They have a huge drinking scene and a huge drug scene. It's very hard for a newly sober person to avoid that much temptation. Hopefully the team has a plan for him if he does sign there. He would absolutely have to keep his head down and stay the **** away from that whole scene. Maybe even having some type of team chaperone might not be a bad idea... Wish him the best though. Just not sure NO is the best place for him. But it may be the only place willing to give him a chance, so...
