EersN'Bills Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Since we have a top 5 favorite TV shows, I thought we'd do top 5 favorite movies. Mine: 1.) Goodfellas- I personally think it's Scorsese's best, but Taxi Driver and Raging Bull also contend for that title. Really shows the dark world of the mob and doesn't hold back. 2.) The Shawshank Redemption- So uplifting and just a great story. Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman steal the show. 3.) The Empire Strikes Back- Best of the Star Wars movies. Enough said there. 4.) Memento- The narrative structure is so unique and after watching it you'll be forced to watch it again because your mind is blown. 5.) Edward Scissorhands- Quirky and lovable. It's a 90s, suburban take on the Frankenstein/Outsider story.
Wooderson Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 In no particular order. I'm also quite sure that I'll edit this list at some point, but just going off the top of my head. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King Rear Window Dazed and Confused The Dark Knight The Matrix Honorable Mention: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly; The Departed, Catch Me If You Can, Casino. How can you pick just 5?

Eegah I just saw Manos recently on MST 3000. And I remember seeing Santa Claus conquers the Martians at a theater when it came out. Greybeard Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 1} Doctor Strangelove 2) Monty Python and the Holy Grail 3) The Outlaw Josie Wales, can make my list on dialog alone 4) The Godfather 5) Dr Zhivago, best movie on cinematography I see Goodfella's on a lot of lists and it is very good. I only comment on it because it has totally stolen the long ending on Layla. Can't hear that on the radio without seeing those involved with the airport robbery meeting their demise.
