Royale with Cheese Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Why would he start on pup? It's 8 month rehab from January. That pegs us into August just in time for the season. I know all the articles say that but I guess I'm missing the timeline. I know Adrian Peterson is a freak but I believe he was jogging 5 months after ACL surgery...he had a second torn ligament too. I think Welker was the same way? If this guys rehab goes well, I wouldn't be shocked if he's at least moving around by training camp. Whey not Brandon Carr? Guy has never missed a gameSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Carr would be a great addition.
YoloinOhio Posted March 16, 2017 Author Posted March 16, 2017 From what I've read, Pete Carroll thinks he could be ready to start the season because he's "crushing rehab" and because of his determination/work ethic. The GM has gone so far as to say it might be late this season. Makes me think the GM is trying to dissuade teams from going after him.

If we land this guy....it would be awesome. Gives us more flexibility in the draft.

thebandit27 Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Carr would be a great addition. I like Carr as a player, but I don't see it as a great fit. He's much better off in a press-man scheme IMO. Shead is a bit longer, and as a former safety, is a sound tackler. I wouldn't mind this pickup at all. aristocrat Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Gotcha about Carr. Just know him by name not scheme. Curious why he hasn't signed on Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
NewEra Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 We could only be so lucky. Really like the guys we've been bringing in. Good scheme fits that don't break the bank. If we get it done hopefully it's more than 2 years, although unlikely

NewEra Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 he never misses games from your iPhone? Lol. I hate that tapatalk crap
bills_fan Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 This would certainly be an impact move and would solidify the secondary....hopefully for years. Would love to see a 4 year deal here.
BillsfanAZ Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 I hope the Bills can sign him even if he cant play right away. The Bills would have players in the secondary that can play anywhere.
wilcoam Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Well, it would the only actual 2016 'starting player' the Bills will have signed to date in this years FA, lol Sounds good as a long term addition even if he's not ready in Sept 2017 jc
Bronxbomber21 Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 This would be my favorite signing of this free agency along with Hyde.
wppete Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 (edited) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ii4q437laPY'>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ii4q437laPY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ii4q437laPY Lets hope This happens guys. This would be a fantastic signing for us. Probably would miss the first 6-7 games but lets lock him up to a long term contract. Edited March 16, 2017 by wppete
Bronxbomber21 Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 When is Shead scheduled to be in the building?
Bookie Man Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Solid player and would fit the scheme nicely I think. Make it happen! Side note: I hate how the NFL takes down the videos off of youtube. Do they have people and that's their job? Just to scurry the internet and delete videos or something? I mean, is it really that big of a deal? Lame! ok, I'm done lol.
YoloinOhio Posted March 16, 2017 Author Posted March 16, 2017 When is Shead scheduled to be in the building? Doug has him locked in the basement. He's having a heart to heart with Berchtold, whose office is down there. Berchtold said that when asked why he decided to sign with the Bills, the answer is never "they offered the most money" or "the other players here at my position suck so I think I'll play a lot." It's always, always "The fans" followed by an anecdote about when you played here that one time and the fans were so into it and the atmosphere was college-like.
Buffalo_Stampede Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 There are a lot of quality CBs left on the market. Whaley needs to add one.
