Roundybout Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Ride for Roswell is coming up in a few months. Its a great time for a great cause. I'll be doing the 34 mile country route (nothing too ridiculous), riding in memory of my grandmother and for a family friend struck with lymphoma. Anyone else ride it? I'm also collecting donations. The old BBMB mods wouldn't let me post the link to my page, so if you want to throw me a few bucks for charity, shoot me a PM. I would appreciate it!
B-Man Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 My family has had a team for years (Racing For Rick) that I donate all my efforts to. I think that my wife signed us up for the (late) 20 mile this year. Good luck to you GhostsofBillPast..............and thanks for riding.

Marv's Neighbor Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 I know the people are sincere but I've been watching people ride, walk, sprint etc. etc. for 60+ years and still no "cure?" .
BuffaloBud Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 I know the people are sincere but I've been watching people ride, walk, sprint etc. etc. for 60+ years and still no "cure?" . MN - There may be no "cure". But, what recent research and developments have provided is individualized treatments based on genetics. The genetic mapping thing is where I see the biggest gain. Here in Columbus OH we have a bike ride that raises funds for cancer research at The James Cancer Center at OSU. Last year alone, over 7000 bike riders raised $24 million dollars - all to cancer research. The ride is completely funded by corporate / private donors. There was a great show this past Sunday on CBS Sunday Morning where the entire show was about cancer / cancer research. I highly recommend it. Ghosts and B-Man - Drop me a PM note about the ride. I'm from Lancaster and would consider this in my ride calendar.
