he was on my wish list last year. I didn't even realize he was an FA again.

I think the Jags were angling for a trade in 2015, if my dodgy memory serves me right. I know I wanted him and Chris Trapasso was a big advocate for him as well.

I'm trying to find a reason to moan about this. Can't find one.

Thoughts - the author sucks at geography

Maybe he's from NYC. To them, NY State consists of two regions: the city and the northwest.

Uh oh. He's not a superstar.

10 page thread here we come.

We gave up a comp pick for this guy?!?!?!?

It's been a few hours since this signing and Whaley still hasn't been fired? Can we petition for the Pegulas to sell the team? They're obviously the worst owners in sports history

We are getting players in FA that the Pats would get versatile and not break the bank. I think we might actually have learned something finally.

He's versatile - he can play in Buffalo and the upper northwest at the same time!

I think it says "upper northeast", which I didn't know was a thing.

Actually it's the City and "up there".

Wonderlic?

He scored a 3, worse than Claiborne.

Correct..... Marchan Lynch thought he was going to go to all the Knicks games when he got drafted here. LOL

What happens if we sign a free agent but later cut him. How does that effect the formula?

It doesn't. You basically have to lose more than you gained. Now that's just a generalization. The players team value to the team figures in somehow. Not every loss means a comp pick.

Keep it up Doug! Should be good rotational depth.

"Davis, 28, is known as a steady run defender capable of setting the edge. He spent the first four years of his career in Jacksonville. The Jaguars signed him out of Bethune-Cookman as an undrafted free agent in 2012.

His most productive season came in 2014 when he posted 19 tackles, 6.5 sacks, a pair of pass breakups and two forced fumbles for the Jaguars."

Backup to Lawson. Better suited for a 43 than a 34. Not a bad add.
