Blokestradamus Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 he was on my wish list last year. I didn't even realize he was an FA again. I think the Jags were angling for a trade in 2015, if my dodgy memory serves me right. I know I wanted him and Chris Trapasso was a big advocate for him as well. I'm trying to find a reason to moan about this. Can't find one.
WhoTom Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Thoughts - the author sucks at geography Maybe he's from NYC. To them, NY State consists of two regions: the city and the northwest.
Just in Atlanta Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 I can't wait till we have him when we play the Falcons in the Southwest.
H2o Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Uh oh. He's not a superstar. 10 page thread here we come. We gave up a comp pick for this guy?!?!?!?
TC in St. Louis Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 I love coming to this site. The sarcasm and wittiness is inspiring. And you can find knowledge too.
bonechiller Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 I love coming to this site. The sarcasm and wittiness is inspiring. And you can find knowledge too. Yeah, but the real challenge is figuring out which is wich.
metzelaars_lives Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Alright but what about comp picks? Ha I laughed.
Kirby Jackson Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 He is basically a replacement for someone like I.K. He sounds like a much better player than that.
NewEra Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 It's been a few hours since this signing and Whaley still hasn't been fired? Can we petition for the Pegulas to sell the team? They're obviously the worst owners in sports history

ALLEN1QB Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 We are getting players in FA that the Pats would get versatile and not break the bank. I think we might actually have learned something finally.

Captain_Quint Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 He is basically a replacement for someone like I.K. He sounds like a much better player than that. But hows his right cross, in case Tyrod gets mouthy?
chris heff Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 He's versatile - he can play in Buffalo and the upper northwest at the same time! I think it says "upper northeast", which I didn't know was a thing.
billykaykay Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Alright but what about comp picks? What happens if we sign a free agent but later cut him. How does that effect the formula?
chris heff Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Maybe he's from NYC. To them, NY State consists of two regions: the city and the northwest. Actually it's the City and "up there". Wonderlic? He scored a 3, worse than Claiborne.
wppete Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Actually it's the City and "up there". Correct..... Marchan Lynch thought he was going to go to all the Knicks games when he got drafted here. LOL
Riverboat Richie Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 What happens if we sign a free agent but later cut him. How does that effect the formula? It doesn't. You basically have to lose more than you gained. Now that's just a generalization. The players team value to the team figures in somehow. Not every loss means a comp pick.
The Jokeman Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Keep it up Doug! Should be good rotational depth. "Davis, 28, is known as a steady run defender capable of setting the edge. He spent the first four years of his career in Jacksonville. The Jaguars signed him out of Bethune-Cookman as an undrafted free agent in 2012. His most productive season came in 2014 when he posted 19 tackles, 6.5 sacks, a pair of pass breakups and two forced fumbles for the Jaguars." http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/Bills-add-a-defensive-end-in-free-agency/bbab7ab2-bbd2-48f4-ad21-8a1588dee0a1 Backup to Lawson. Better suited for a 43 than a 34. Not a bad add.
