KD in CA Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 EJ cost himself MILLIONS with that week 17 showing...smh No he didn't. Everyone knew who he was long before week 17.
Rico Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 No he didn't. Everyone knew who he was long before week 17. Everybody except Whaley.
jr1 Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 it would be weird to be the new guy in the locker room every year like Austin Davis, TJ Yates etc
billz4life820 Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 I am surprised considering so many bills fans claimed he could start for another team and was the best backup in the nfl
prissythecat Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 No he didn't. Everyone knew who he was long before week 17. Hmm. Thats not true. I am pretty sure we can dig up a number of posts along the lines of "EJ is better than Tyrod" and "I guarantee EJ will be on a roster in 2017" prior to that Jets game.

I am pretty sure we can dig up a number of posts along the lines of "EJ is better than Tyrod" and "I guarantee EJ will be on a roster in 2017" prior to that Jets game. There definitely were some fans that got a glimpse of hope that EJ would light it up in the jets game and get yet another shot
Marty McFly Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 (edited) Scooped up in a hearbeat only needs a true coaching staff to develop him. Oh my I cant try sarcasm this early in the morning. ****ty people cant alter your future by being bad humans talking about you and making fun of you. If you believe that you are rather sensitive. There are tons of examples in history that disprove this. If ej is letting someones talk bother him ej might need to toughennup a bit. Worlds a tuff place. Wrong.= When you are in the entertainment industry people black ball you and your career takes a huge hit. That is what i am referring to specifically. I understand that you dont understand cuz the entertainment business is a different animal. Your Right - pertaining to EJ and other businesses tho, I do understand what your saying. I can understand that. One thing I try to remember, my fellow traveler of both time and space, is that we enter this world as a lonely stranger and leave it a lonely stranger. Other people don't actually know me, their words reflect only their own perceptions. Its my ego that gets its feelings hurt, if I stay away from the ego then sour words will pass right through me. There are disciplines that can be learned which will make us impervious, though like any other discipline it takes time, effort and repeated failures in order to learn. I hope that makes a lick of sense That is some real Sh1t big breh! Makes a lot of sense. Too much sense for TBD Edited March 13, 2017 by Marty McFly
Riverboat Richie Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 So here we are again. Fans wanting Whaley to take a QB just for the sake of taking a QB, even though they drag him through the mud for the EJ pick. EJ was near the top of a bad QB class and look how that worked out. Now you want him to do the same thing? What's wrong with this picture? Ok you wanted him to pick a QB, just not the one that wasn't going to work out, whoever that was going to be, right?
Buftex Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 He will get signed somewhere for this summer. If you hadn't noticed, 3rd string QB's are not a high priority the first phase of free-agency.
cd1 Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 He will get signed somewhere for this summer. If you hadn't noticed, 3rd string QB's are not a high priority the first phase of free-agency. ^^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^^ But, then again, what fun is it to be practical?
Bill_with_it Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 I am surprised considering so many bills fans claimed he could start for another team and was the best backup in the nflSo many wrong people. They have zero clue what they are looking at and rationalize it a) because hes on the team, b) hes a likesble guy, and c) it must be good because Whaley did it. That is some real Sh1t big breh! Makes a lot of sense. Too much sense for TBD Im not wrong everyone spoke about ditka and he had a job at espn for years.Everyone spoke about Oj and he had 15 tv shows. Everyone makes fun of Kanya and he is still doing his thing. You wont find many successful overly sensitive to criticism people.
Mr. WEO Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Everybody except Whaley. He has "the 'it' factor". "He's a gem..."
Hapless Bills Fan Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 So here we are again. Pretty good assessment. Me, I did NOT want the Bills to put themselves in 2013 position of "we kicked our functional, not-franchise-guy QB to the curb so we MUST draft a QB in the 1st and start him, even though the draft class sucks" I am also not down on Whaley for the EJ pick - Nix and Gailey put the Bills in the position of having to draft a QB in 2013, and basically I want to see the Bills use more draft picks on QB, not fewer. Even 1st round drafted QB, across the league not just ours, have a 30-50% success rate. You can't ask a guy to take more shots that have a 50-70% failure rate then carp at him for picking a failure.
Royale with Cheese Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 He will be a 3rd stringer somewhere. Might be one of those vets inactive almost every week.
BaaadThingsMan Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Pretty rough if the kid can't even get a look see. Doesn't anyone need a cadence specialist? He has "the 'it' factor". "He's a gem..." you act like the *cheats knew what they were doing when they drafted your franchise saving grace. They got lucky. Drafting *marsha in the sixth is akin to drafting Tom Savage in the seventh. A QB for the sake of taking a QB, they had no idea he would *cheat so much over the years.
LABILLBACKER Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Didn't a number of posters here guarantee he will be on NFL roster this season? So we just need to wait He's played his last nfl game....horrible draft pick.
Saxum Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 If the Bills bring EJ back, we need to start referring to him as "Doug Whaley Jr." Sure Chuck Dickerson, Jr.
cd1 Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Is this the thread where some posters come to get their Bill-agra for the day? Sure seems like it - talk about beating a dead horse.
The Frankish Reich Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Serious question: every time some once-celebrated QB fizzles out in the NFL, people will make jokes about how he should be able to find a new job .... in the CFL. Yet this never seems to happen. Why not? I don't live along the Canadian border anymore (not for a long, long time) so I don't pay much attention to the CFL. (Does anyone?) My question: why wouldn't a mobile QB, good athlete who succeeded in a more wide open CFL style college offense get a shot to reboot his career up north? Is it a restriction on non-Canadian players? If not, why does this never seem to happen?
