nucci Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Right now, without Watkins, the Bills must have the worst WR corp in the NFL. why do you mention without Watkins.....is he no longer on the team?
JM2009 Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 why do you mention without Watkins.....is he no longer on the team? Are you counting on him to play 16 games? I'm not.
Augie Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Forgot? No, I'm sure there's a sticky note around somewhere about this. I'm sure they have a plan. I'd bet 1st or 2nd round and a couple other pickups. Pray Listenbee is a player. Hopefully we don't have the same position decimated by injuries two years in a row. First it was RB and last year WR. The trick is knowing what position is up for next year!
Mountain Man Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 They cant afford to address everything in round 1 of FA, there isnt enough money and the Bills are way too top heavy as a squad. It was a case of letting the big spending happen and then target a WR3 in the later days. I have no doubt they will get a WR, same as OT is being targeted from reports, but just a case of getting players within your means
nucci Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 (edited) Are you counting on him to play 16 games? I'm not. I don't count on anything I have no control over. Are you counting on everyone to play 16 games? Edited March 11, 2017 by nucci
JM2009 Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 I don't count on anything I have no control over. Are you counting on everyone to play 16 games? Whaley does have control over getting a good number two. Maybe even a three. We have almost nothing after Watkins.
nucci Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Whaley does have control over getting a good number two. Maybe even a three. We have almost nothing after Watkins. I agree but not too concerned...we have a decent TE and McCoy a good receiver also......and the draft
BuffAlone Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 WR2 is an easy draft choice, not worried about that. Im more more concerned with our LBs and CBs.^this
Buffalo_Stampede Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 (edited) They need a WR first. With Watkins questionable with his injuries the Bills need a good playmaker opposite him.Watkins will be fine. It's something that can need a 2nd surgery but after that few problems. I would like to see the Bills add a veteran WR or CB before the draft, preferably both. Kamar Aiken would be a good signing at WR. Verner or Claiborne at CB. Player I really want is Rueben Foster. Success Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 This year has trade down written all over it, if they can find a partner. Good wr's and cb's available without having to use a high pick.
turbo044 Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Davis would be my pick if Adams or hooker don't fall to us. I am not the gm
Chuck Wagon Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 We have Sammy coming up for a big contract soon, did anyone really expect Whaley to buy a big time FA WR when guys like Britt, Stills, Woods & Pryor are getting $8 mil?
Andrew Son Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 I'm hoping for Kendall Wright and then one in the draft
JohnBonhamRocks Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Aiken from BAL and Smith-Schuster in the 3rd
Pete Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 OJ Howard makes a lot of sense to me. He is an excellent blocker, and would fit great with our run first offense.
Buffalo_Stampede Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 OJ Howard makes a lot of sense to me. He is an excellent blocker, and would fit great with our run first offense. He is a real possibility. The Bills want to add a big athletic target.
Andrew Son Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 He is a real possibility. The Bills want to add a big athletic target. I would need to see more college production to take him at 10. No thanks. It's a deep draft for TE.
DaBillsFanSince1973 Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 That's one of the problems-will he? it's really a potential problem for any player in the league, no guarantee you get through 16 games unscathed. the feeling here is just heightened due to history. the corp will be filled by opening day and one can only hope not just sammy, but all starters avoid injury?
offyourocker Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Listenbee? The 7th round pick from last season who didn't play a single snap? Yea let's count on him. They need to sign at least a decent WR in FA and I'd be all for their first round pick to be a big, go get the ball receiver opposite Sammy. No worries. By July, this board will claim we have probably the best WRs in the league and we should look at trading. Don't you remember last year?
Beef Jerky Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Seeing as we only need a WR #2 any of the players at 10 would be a WR #1 on many other teams. Sammy + #10
