Whaley forget about receiver?

Recommended Posts

I don't really get how a comment like this is even possible a week into free agency and over a month before the draft.

There are very few WRs left in FA, and a draft pick is a complete wildcard in year 1. As it stands now, it's a fact.

Whaley has assembled possibly the worst WR corps in the league.

Hard to believe considering Buffalo has used 2 1sts on Watkins, a 2nd on Woods, and a 3rd on Goodwin in the past 4 drafts.

If you don't draft well in this league the ramifications almost put you in a continued downward spiral. Coming out of it is exceptionally difficult and UFA can't make up for it.

No, it isn't. We have no idea right now what our final group will look like. It's a meaningless hot take.

Jarrett Boykin, Justin Hunter, Walt Powell, Greg Salas, Leonard Hankerson, Dezmin Lewis, Kolby Listenbee, Percy Harvin, and Brandon Tate were not acquisitions that made Whaley look like he knew what he was doing there.

And now, they've removed Woods and Goodwin from the equation. The likelihood after Philly Brown was signed that group improves is slim.

Please. As though Brown is the best guy we're going to pick up.

Bad injury luck last year. Might be a good idea to give the offseason more than a week.

I don't think we were looking to pay WR1 money for some of the available talent. Pryor/Jeffery didn't see the long term offers they liked, so they took lower offers to re-establish value. Garcon/woods/jackson/britt got big contracts as #2 receivers. I don't think we were looking for 8mil AAV at the WR2 position.

There are still several decent WR2 options that can be had at a much lower value - stevie, aiken, quick, cruz, patterson. Especially at round 2 of free agency, when the offers get lower.

Sorry you guys (TBD) have to suffer with this. But, everytime your let in the dog, there are bound to be some fleas.

Can we keep the good posters and send the dumdums back?
