PIZ Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/jalen-robinette?id=2558148 Read he is the best blocking WR in the draft. Could be an important characteristic in this offense. Not sure what round he would go.
BuffAlone Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 My thoughts are meh...he didn't look very fluent at the combine imo. I'd much rather Godwin in the third. I think Robinette goes fourth or later.

PIZ Posted March 11, 2017 Author Posted March 11, 2017 Are there enough WRs and CBs in this draft to take a QB (Mahomes) in the first? I'm hoping they go QB at 10, as you shouldn't expect to have a top 10 pick again. Totally forgot about Chris Godwin from Penn State, and I'm an alum. Where do you see him going, and is he a fit for Dennison's offense?

frostbitmic Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Being from the Air Force Academy wouldn't he have to fulfill an obligation to them before being allowed to play in the NFL ?
BuffAlone Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Being from the Air Force Academy wouldn't he have to fulfill an obligation to them before being allowed to play in the NFL ?I think so,depending on his obligation. I think some see a brief summer stint, like the reserves, and others are a bit more. I could be wrong as I'm not an alum of the services, but I seem to recall different lengths of obligations
Blokestradamus Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Being from the Air Force Academy wouldn't he have to fulfill an obligation to them before being allowed to play in the NFL ? After the cases of Joe Cardona and Keenan Reynolds, the DOD announced an exemption for aspiring athletes. Trust me, I had to read up on all of this when I wrote about Robinette https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/early-lead/wp/2016/07/12/military-academy-athletes-can-now-go-straight-to-the-pros/?utm_term=.8eabdadbf493

PIZ Posted March 11, 2017 Author Posted March 11, 2017 You wrote about Robinette? Sorry for the duplicate post.
Blokestradamus Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 (edited) thanks for the info. Didnt know they gave out exemptions I know Cardona split time in 2015 between the Pats and his Navy requirements. Either one is a rough day's work, doing both gets my respect. I doubt you'll see a massive shift in military recruitment for football programmes though, despite the ruling. You wrote about Robinette? Sorry for the duplicate post. Yep - http://billswire.usatoday.com/2017/02/22/bills-2017-nfl-draft-targets-air-force-wr-jalen-robinette-scouting-report/ If you meant being sorry for a duplicate thread, you didn't create one. Just me being vague Edited March 11, 2017 by Blokestradamus

I knew at one time it was different, didn't know they were abit more lenient these days.
wppete Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 I like him. Have seen some mocks from 3rd to 4th round.
par73 Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 I love Godwin. Don't see any way he last until the third I posted on here a while back-- I would take Godwin in the 2nd-- if WR isn't addressed in the 1st.
