Not sure what he means by this, I'm assuming it will pay off more if we wait to restructure some of our guys like Dareus Clay and Glenn?

restructuring helps in the short term to fit more FAs under the cap right now, but hurts in the long term and usually keeps you in cap jail. Steelers and Saints used to be this way with constant restructures, not sure if they still are Edited by YoloinOhio

Probably means, just don't restructure if you already have the cap space. Let the deals expire as originally planned or only restructure if it's critical.

May as well not restructure and eat the bigger hits this year to clear up more space for next year should any restructures be necessary. We're not close and I wouldn't want to push any more dead money into the future if we can avoid it. The lack of restructures actually indicates to me that the Fo finally has some self-awareness and is trying to get ride out the terrible cap position we're in.

they are.

and truly, its only an issue if you are using it to spend over the cap. if the space goes unused you just roll it over and keep on going.

the act itself gives more flexibility assuming that player will stay

deciding to spend all the money is really what gets you into trouble.

Looking at about $8M in space by Rule of 51 after draft picks are signed. Will need a few million for in season use and less than one million for PS players. So we still have a little money to play with without making any moves.
