row_33 Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 It boggles my mind that one of the more fiscally responsible players is Marshawn Lynch. All people with good coin have this problem In 15 years of tax returns the only doctor/lawyer/$$$earner that did it totally right... Was a specialist in a high-demand medical field; Rented a single apartment and lived modestly as a single man; and He retired from practice with millions after-tax in his mid-30s and now lectures or instructs around the world as he darn well pleases.
DC Tom Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 That was the ending in the book Which would have made a far, far better movie than how it ended up. Gutless, ignorant studio drones don't know a good story when they see it.

CBF "Every weekend" is misleading. I take they didn't film 52 weeks out of the year. I wonder how the "seasons" worked back then. But yeah... Long flight. Edited October 3, 2017 by ExiledInIllinois

Long flight. Jay Thomas (RIP recently) had a great anecdote about getting dumped from Mork and Mindy and happily flying from NYC to the payroll room in Hollywood to pick up the remaining checks for his contractual episodes. His agent wanted him to put up a fight but he was happy to collect the remaining 6-figure total in the 1970s.

ExiledInIllinois Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 TIL Researchers tried 2000 times to ignite gasoline with a cigarette; failed 100% of the time. CBF It's the fumes. Remember the Sea Ray boats in the 80's going BOOM when the opetator would turn the key. Since 1940 or so all gasoline powered boats have to have "active" ventilating blowers. Diesel on other hand is less volatile, fumes don't lay low in the bilge or on the water. Static energy, humidity also play a factor. Boaters always get pissed when I tell them they have to wait & can't lock through with empty tankers.

Seems Bigstar influenced a lot of bands, but never really became big when they were together.
