YoloinOhio Posted March 9, 2017 Author Posted March 9, 2017 Best of luck in LA...liked him....hope Goff can get him the ball sometimes!i like Woods but I predict much poor body language. At least he will be getting paid more for his frustration now!
Big Turk Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 5 yrs, 39 mil, 15 guaranteed Yeah, for all those saying Woods wasn't going to get money, think this shows otherwise....he was always getting at least $7+ million based on comparison of numbers from Sanu and Marvin Jones over the last year or two...can't pay him and Sammy...
Best Player Available Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 [quote name="Rockpile233" post="4277665" timestamp="1489077114" Just don't have a lot of space this year to pay all these guys. Yep, when you a perennial 7-9 team. It gets hard to keep good players. OR, you have morons writing contracts and managing the cap. I'll go with the moron theory. Until Whaley is gone there is no hope. Best of luck to Robert Woods. In the right system he could thrive. Nothing like keeping the homegrown talent. He will be missed. Past Watkins now there is no one. Did the Bills even make an offer? Nice job and again a tip of the hat too Whaley and Overdork.
teef Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Seen it coming once Tyrod was inked, no way he comes back here just to block for Tyrod. Sadly Sammy will do the same once his contract is up. you knew what would happen once tyrod was signed? did you expect the bills to match what the rams gave him?
QuoteTheRaven83 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Good luck to him. Always thought of him as a poor man's Hines Ward. Nah. He's a poor man's Josh Reed.
Dopey Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Good luck Bobby Woods. Will miss you, you were a pro's pro here in Buffalo.
TSOL Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Almost 8 million a year seems like alot for him. Too much. Dont let the sun set on you here, Bob.
wppete Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Thank god he didn't end up with NE. I would have been pissed! Good luck to him. Now lets go get Pryor from Cleveland.
TheElectricCompany Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 I'd love to see Pryor here, Cleveland is dumb as bricks if they let him walk for nothing. Happy for Woods, seemed like a great pro, but that's a ton of money for someone who hasn't sniffed a 1000 yard season.
billspro Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 No way he lives up to that contract with Goff as QB.
nucci Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Why is everyone calling him Bobby? Thought he went by Robert here. Should it be Sam Watkins?
Crusher Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 How is he supposed to when he comes from a run heavy offense with a mediocre QB? Woods will produce much more in a real passing offense. Watkins, Woods, and Clay have all been hindered by this offense and QB.
H2o Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Woods went back home to LA. Saw this coming. USC boy missed life in the fast lane.
26CornerBlitz Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Woods will produce much more in a real passing offense. Watkins, Woods, and Clay have all been hindered by this offense and QB. Let's just see how well Goff develops.
Yav Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 This one hurts. I always thought his game was much like Steve Smith. Both play/played aggressive and have/had elusive speed. Smith had better QB play so his production seems better but Woods catches the ball just as good, and T2 is still developing.
BuffAlone Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Nah. He's a poor man's Josh Reed. he's three shelves higher than Reed ever was!
TheFunPolice Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Good for him getting to go home and make some $$ No hard feelings... the guy played his heart out here for the Bills.
quinnearlysghost88 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 lot of great notes about Woods' passion and professionalism and underappreciatedness and tenacity. how about catching a football? any of that? no? okay.
