JM2009 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 And Gilmore was their best DB option. I choose the better player. QB is the most important position in all sports. Not DB. Gilmore can,and will be replaced at a cheaper cost He's a TT hater.
boater Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Oh no, this is such a profound and indisputable game changer. I think this puts the Patriots in a great position to win the AFC East division next year. Well done. Captain Sarcasm is your new Delta Tau nickname.
Crusher Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Gilmore can,and will be replaced at a cheaper cost It's going to be harder replacing a pro bowl caliber man corner than a gimmick QB who struggles to effectively throw the football. You will be one crying about the defense once again while Taylor is failing in crucial moments where passing is paramount.
Guest K-GunJimKelly12 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 (edited) You guys are seriously whining about losing this guy? Giving Stephon Gilmore 14 million a year would have been a colossal mistake by the Bills. There is a chance that BB and Brady will make him not as much of a little B word but I still think they will regret this. Good riddance to one of the softest players and biggest primadonna me guys to ever put on a Bills uniform. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4FKtteneY8 Skip to 45 seconds on this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGyLW0rbWuo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpmNoMx-4z4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LS1MXPxMX28 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R317Rdhw2Gg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hqjo4WJbQQY Edited March 9, 2017 by K-GunJimKelly12
YoloinOhio Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 @adamschefter Patriots are giving former Bills CB Stephon Gilmore a five-year, $65 million deal that includes $40 million guaranteed, per source.
TheFunPolice Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 I kind of like how cold NE is.... Decisions made based on brutal efficiency and zero emotion. Maybe that's one thing that drives Brady even harder. BB isn't the type to go easy on anyone. Montana was shown the door in SF.
Doc Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 They got Gilmore for 13 a year. Not much difference from $14M/year. But $40M guaranteed, which is almost 62% of the total contract.
Nitro Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 NE rarely make FA mistakes. Buffalo fans do not see Gilmore like those outside WNY. The guy is talented and I see him haunting the Bills for years to come. Bills continue to let first round draft picks, that are not busts, walk in Free Agency.

Sammy owned him in practice and he's looked great and awful in games. BB will hide his weaknesses and they have a ton of cap space, I just don't see him worth the coin he's asking. He's not a shut down corner. Edited March 9, 2017 by Green Lightning

I think NE made a bad move guaranteeing him 40M. Gilmore is not that good.

Domdab99 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Pats don't need to deal Butler...they signed him to a 1st round tender...if someone comes along and steals Butler from them, boom - they get an extra 1st round pick. If not, they're starting Gilmore and Butler as their corners. That's how you run a franchise, ladies and gentlemen.

C.Biscuit97 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Gilmore sucks!!! He doesn't smile!!! What does Belichick know!!! So they guy who doesn't smile gets the last laugh! Well, I always liked Gilmore and apparently Belichick did too.

BB isn't the type to go easy on anyone. Montana was shown the door in SF. Brady is the one thing that gives the Pats the ability to be so cold - when you have the GOAT on a cheap contract, who can make any receiver look amazing, you can play hardball (or have the cap space to sign a Gilmore)
hondo in seattle Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Gilmore can,and will be replaced at a cheaper cost That's what we all hope. I just don't think it'll be easy, though there's supposed to be some good DBs in this draft.
