racketmaster Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 This is a great move. Carpenter was awful at FGs last year (76%) and below average the year before. Bills just signed a kicker who ranks 3rd all-time in FG percentage at 87.2%. He is behind Justin Tucker (best in business) and Dan Bailey and ranks just ahead of Stephen Gostkowski. I know he had an off year last year but that was still better that Carpenter. Traditionally his kickoffs are good and he has the leg to make 50+ yard FGs.
Bakin Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 He has missed 10 extra points since the new rule, more than Carpenter, in less attempts. I don't follow that logic. He is, or has been, a very accurate FG guy though, and can kick off so there's that. Does this mean we scored more touchdowns than Seattle over that same time span?Hmmmm... Defence needed?
Ennjay Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Aaaaaaand . . . speaking of blocks up the middle, we'll have a new LS this year. Stay tuned for more adventures.
Santana Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 No thanks, that dirtbag burned his bridges. Ouch! why is he a dirtbag??

BuffaloFan68 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Right now, this looks like a great move be the Bills. Let's Go Buffalo!!!!!
ExiledInIllinois Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Does this mean we scored more touchdowns than Seattle over that same time span? Hmmmm... Defence needed? No. Different Division needed!
MiltonWaddams Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Living in the PNW, and attending Hawks games, I know a lot of Hawks fans that were ecstatic about Haushka's release. The blocked XP's were a major issue. That being said, I have seen him make huge kicks the past 4 years and I have more faith in his leg than I do in Carp's. Upgrade
Blokestradamus Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Maybe Tolbert can kick XPs With thighs like his, that thing would stay kicked. The cow that died to make it would feel it beyond the grave.
CanadianFan Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 You know what this signing means. Team's gonna rely on D, there'll be lots of close games, thus KICKER becomes very important.
BmarvB Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Good pickup. Just hope he can kick in the winds here.

Soooo, what you are saying is that having a kicker on the roster means we are going all in on defence? Interesting logic....

RyanC883 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Awesome if true, one of my favorite kickers in the league, hopefully he finds a home here (Ryan Lindell anyone?) fantastic move. I love it. Big upgrade.
nucci Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Scroll up! 4 years, $12.4 million per Schefter. Source: 26CornerBlitz's post above. Got it, thanks...missed that
thunderingsquid Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 I like it. And he seems like the kind of guy that would be open to talking to Steve Christie.
