3rdand12 Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Have we heard anything saying he's a RT? Sal yesterday tweeted that Ryan Groy may also play into the RT battle. Groy is center/ guard as is Wood. do not worry about any of them moving to Tackle
TheyCallMeAndy Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Groy is center/ guard as is Wood. do not worry about any of them moving to Tackle Doesn't mean the coaches won't give him a shot, who would have thought that he'd be as solid as he's been at Center for us (Talking Groy)
Big C Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Doesn't mean the coaches won't give him a shot, who would have thought that he'd be as solid as he's been at Center for us (Talking Groy) They used Groy as a 6th linemen a few times. Maybe he's got some versatility and can factor into the T battle, but that wouldn't be my first thought.

BrooklynBills Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Groy is 6'5 320. He absolutely could play RT in this offense especially if we are playing more zone.
2020 Our Year For Sure Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Groy is 6'5 320. He absolutely could play RT in this offense especially if we are playing more zone.In my mind he's a slight favorite to win the job. Mills, CK, Hendy are not very good options at RT. Groy looked decent last year and played some Tackle at Wisconsin.

2020 Our Year For Sure Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Isn't Groy a free agent ? Has he been resigned ?He is a restricted free agent tendered by the Bills, meaning he is under contract here for 1 year. He is free to negotiate with other teams but should he sign, the Bills have the right to match his contract and retain him.
OldTimeAFLGuy Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Isn't Groy a free agent ? Has he been resigned ? ...tendered........... ...how the hell could you NOT like a guy named Vladimir?....Trump would be proud (LOL)...hope he fares better than "Tank" Carder or my favorite, "Rootin' "Tutan" Reyez.....
John from Riverside Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Ok lets be realistic here Has Groy....at any point in the NFL....be tried as a OT....at any time? He is a CENTER/GUARD
thebandit27 Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Ok lets be realistic here Has Groy....at any point in the NFL....be tried as a OT....at any time? He is a CENTER/GUARD Not since college, but... That's hardly a death sentence for him. There are guys like Damien Woody and Louis Vasquez that move out to tackle for the first time as pros and do just fine. That doesn't mean that Groy will be one of them; only that it's hardly the most preposterous idea ever mentioned

OldTimeAFLGuy Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 ....anybody have any info on this guy?..... Free agent G/C Tim Lelito is visiting the Lions on Wednesday. A 13-game starter at left guard in 2015, Lelito was sent back to the bench last season, making just seven spot starts. He has position versatility, as Lelito played left guard, right tackle, and center last year. In 2015, Lelito was Pro Football Focus' No. 7-ranked run-blocking guard out of 82 qualifiers.
