Kelly the Dog Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 I think this is a no brainer. He's not going to cost anything. He can produce. He does at least one thing well. When every team needs five or six or more and we basically have two, that's an easy decision. I assume his agent will want to see if any other team is offering substantially more than the Bills based on his rather good TD production per snap. But they're not going to see real money. His chance to rejuvenate his career is here.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Why a WR when we're running an option offense? Pointless
RaoulDuke79 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 All he does is catch TD's. He's big body which we need. I'd be inclined to re-sign him at a reasonable price.
Dragonborn10 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Yes. I don't see any down-side to signing him.
BillsFan17 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Absolutely. Kid is a red zone mismatch nightmare for defenders.
brianb386 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Unless he wants an unrealistic amount, I think we have to. Even resigning him we need to bring in a few more.
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Yes. I don't think he was used enough last season.
BuffAlone Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Why a WR when we're running an option offense? PointlessI missed that memo.Where is a link to that info?
GunnerBill Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 If he would take $3m / 2 years then yes. That would have been my offer. He is a redzone threat even if that is all he is. We have lacked one of those for years.
LABILLBACKER Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Yes, I am one who thinks he was underutilized last year. Great size and decent speed. Good redzone threat. If he is realistic about his worth then by all means we should We better sign him cheap now with Robert and Marquise gone. And yes he was very underutilized by TT last year. He's a great red zone target. Still hoping we draft Corey @10....
Royale with Cheese Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Yes. Good enough for a 4th. Big target in the red zone.
WGBillsFan Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 I would bring him back just not break the bank....seemed to have chemistry with TT!
Capt.Midnite Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 I don't see a reason why not, unless he's getting a significant raise. Good TD catcher, had some nice plays for us, and we still need a tall receiver so I'd love to have him back.
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 If we only carry 5 receivers, one of these guys needs to be able to play special teams...
dulles Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 I brought it up in the LaFell thread, but to my knowledge he is an UFA this year and I haven't heard any buzz. We know what he is, and we would need more WRs regardless, but wouldn't it be good to have a red zone WR if we are focusing on short WCO passes? Can he play ST? I can't remember him on any meaningful plays. I think that is crucial. You can't be a WR4 w/o being available for ST. Do you remember when Beebe broke his leg covering a kickoff? He was our WR2.
