Captain Murica Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Well, DiMacro can chat with the old Bills players and be like "Hey, you might have lost 4 straight Superbowls but you never had a 25 point lead and blown it in a Superbowl!!!"
GG Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Sorry guys, we won't get a comp pick for Gilmore, but we will get an all pro fullback, a backup Panthers linebacker and a backup Ravens WR. #BillsFootball  You're worried about losing a hypothetical pick in '18 at the expense of real help in '17?
Starr Almighty Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 For what it's worth under Ian's tweet all the Falcon fans seem to be very upset over losing this guy
Captain Murica Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Â You're worried about losing a hypothetical pick in '18 at the expense of real help in '17? Â He's probably envious of the Browns current situation as well.
Logic Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 PFF had him rated as the best run-blocking FB in all of football last season. He was 1st team All-Pro in 2015 and has made the Pro Bowl two years in a row.He is not as big a threat in the passing game as Juice (though he CAN catch the ball unlike Felton), but he is a superior run blocker. My guess is the money in the Juice sweepstakes got too crazy for Buffalo's liking. Besides, do Bills fans really want to be chanting "Juuuuuiiiicceee" In Ralph Wilson Stadium again?
Chuck Wagon Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Â You're worried about losing a hypothetical pick in '18 at the expense of real help in '17? Â Â Apparently you weren't here when every person who was pro letting Gilmore walk pointed out we'd get a comp pick.
BrooklynBills Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Sorry guys, we won't get a comp pick for Gilmore, but we will get an all pro fullback, a backup Panthers linebacker and a backup Ravens WR. #BillsFootball We have so many FAs that I would be shocked if they didn't come out at a net loss in UFAs brought in versus UFAs lost. So I would hope for big deals for Gilmore, Woods, Brown, and Alexander.
Coach Tuesday Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 (edited) Besides, do Bills fans really want to be chanting "Juuuuuiiiicceee" In Ralph Wilson Stadium again? Â I'll admit - as a Jew, it would induce existential dread in me to have that going on. Edited March 8, 2017 by Coach Tuesday
wilcoam Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I concur, I have to see the totality of the Bills 1st day FA signings, but yes, I'd rather get a 3rd round and 4th round comps in 2018 than sign a bunch of minor low producing 2017 FA's that negate Gilmore, Woods, Zach all potentially signing with other teams  You do realize managing the comp picks is one of the ways in NE trumps alot of other teams in creating its roster, now Elway in Denver is doing the same thing, but hey should we emulate that, we've been managing just fine? Lol  jc
ChanOverChin Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 DiMarco will be moved around a lot. He can block, but can also catch the ball. He is also a very good ST player. Â The biggest difference between DiMarco and Felton is that DiMarco can be relied upon to catch the ball.
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Well, he's very good at what he does, and that's run block. Â A lot of Dennison's running game uses that so Shady should be enjoying nice big run lanes next year.
YoloinOhio Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Well, he certainly isn't going to fit as smoothly into Buffalo's demographics as the Polish kid.the Italian folks will love it!
Logic Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I get that people wanted Juice because he's polish and catches the ball well...But let's not pretend that signing the best fullback in all of football last year is bad move. While he isn't as big a threat in the passing game, he is better than Juice at the main job of being a fullback: blocking. He will pave the way for another great rushing season and will provide quality pass blocking and special teams play to boot.Good signing (though admittedly a bit high of a price for a FB).

YoloinOhio Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 @andy_benoit Patrick DiMarco might be only FB in NFL who can block DEs (not just LBs). Check out FB on this play https://twitter.com/andy_benoit/status/837759017866899458
NoSaint Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 our head coach faced him twice a year in the NFCS, which i imagine is no coincidence in the signing
