BillsVet Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 He had a 1 year prove it deal...and some foolish team will sign him based on his 2016 season. Not a significant loss, but on a team with thin depth all around and not much cap space it could get tough to find other low cost UFA's to fill the void. And it's not wise to expect rookies to start and play well.
eball Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Zach Brown wasn't a very good player in the second half of the season. He's not really a great loss and is utterly replaceable. Agreed!
KollegeStudnet Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 It's a business. Zach is going to want as much as he can get. The Bills, even though are not capped strapped, have a new coach and a new scheme.
BuffAlone Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 If this is true,WLB just became our first pick.expect a trade back to get Cunningham or Reddick. McDermott has said all along...WLB is his most needed part.We will get Safety and CB in the second and third rounds, who will start immediately, and ST in the later rounds. That's gonna sum up this year's offseason..but,if we could land Godwin with whatever pick we get for trading back,I'd call that a successful one

2003Contenders Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Have to imagine that Klein, who filled in nicely for Kuechley last year under McD and can play all LB positions, is a FA priority.
YoloinOhio Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Whaley will find a LB. If there's one thing you can trust whaley on, are LBs. He finds them in the trash bin. ha! True.
thebandit27 Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Have to imagine that Klein, who filled in nicely for Kuechley last year under McD and can play all LB positions, is a FA priority. I must be the only one on earth that doesn't think that Klein was a good player
Wayne Cubed Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I must be the only one on earth that doesn't think that Klein was a good player Nah, I didn't think he looked great in the couple games I saw him play. He wasn't nearly as athletic as Kuechley and it SHOWED, big time.
corta765 Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I must be the only one on earth that doesn't think that Klein was a good player He looked very average to me and I never like taking a guy from a previous scheme/team and expecting he will be just as good. Lots of factors play in. Would rather they draft another LB or look at some other FAs
K-9 Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Why do I get the impression that McD looked at ZB's last handful of games and decided Brown just wasn't his kind of player?
Wayne Cubed Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Why do I get the impression that McD looked at ZB's last handful of games and decided Brown just wasn't his kind of player? You mean, skating on snow isn't a positive for ZB?
wppete Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I dont see anything official on Zach Brown.... Where the link?
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Hopefully that tweet means Preston is gone, not Zach ha- but no thanks to ZB... that half hearted tackle attempt v Miami was it for me
BADOLBILZ Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Zach Brown wasn't a very good player in the second half of the season. He's not really a great loss and is utterly replaceable. As fans, we tend to forgive players "quitting" because we think it must suck playing for that team..........but it's gotta' be hard for a coach to live with. He missed a ton of tackles that his speed and quickness put him in position to make in second half for a lack of want-to. I loved the initial signing and he more than paid off.....great talent......but it's easy to envision him mailing it in for the next couple years too once he gets paid.

GoBills808 Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I think AJ Klein will be a Bill soon. Klein is JAG for me...our LB corps is going to be a bit of a soft spot.
NewEra Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Trading down and landing Zach Cunningham would be amazing. I think he's a great fit in this D
eball Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Trading down and landing Zach Cunningham would be amazing. I think he's a great fit in this D Zach-for-Zach deals are rare in this league.
JohnBonhamRocks Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 So we can all agree we are losing a Brown? Thought Klein was headed our way anyways, but this makes it more likely and necessary.
