MAJBobby Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 This leak could have been to gain leverage on the restructuring of TT who said he will not redo his deal. And now all of the sudden he does
KellyToughII Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 This leak could have been to gain leverage on the restructuring of TT who said he will not redo his deal. And now all of the sudden he does I am betting a big fat no on that
Bangarang Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 He'd be a great backup to have if the price was right.
bilzfancy Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 He'd be a great backup to have if the price was right.agreed, not much out there, and he is better then EJ
MAJBobby Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I am betting a big fat no on that Really ok yeah I guess leaking you are talking to another QB wont spark a QB that didn't want o redo his deal all of the sudden redo his deal
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 This leak could have been to gain leverage on the restructuring of TT who said he will not redo his deal. And now all of the sudden he does I bet you it was part leverage and part plan b. I highly doubt they still pursue hoyer at this point.
Big C Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 He's a backup, so could still be in play. He is not a starting caliber QB. Would be a perfect vet backup though. He may be the best backup in the league. Would be the perfect safety valve for TT if anything happens.
KellyToughII Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 @john_wawrow Just filed: Person familiar with discussions tells AP that Buffalo #Bills are in talks with pending free agent QB Brian Hoyer. Ok so now he will back up for us, beats nothing
26CornerBlitz Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 (edited) I bet you it was part leverage and part plan b. I highly doubt they still pursue hoyer at this point. Makes no sense for him to back up Tyrod with him being good enough to start. Edited March 8, 2017 by 26CornerBlitz
Beef Jerky Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Hoyer no more since Tyrod staying. Hoyer was a rumor.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Makes no sense for him to back up Tyrod with being good enough to start. Agreed. We don't really have the luxury to pay 2 borderline starter QBs!!
The Jokeman Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Hoyer no more since Tyrod staying. Hoyer was a rumor. "It's not a rumor"! [/The Guvenator]
dave mcbride Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I dunno - I think it's quite possible that Hoyer has no illusions and has settled into Steve DeBerg mode: career backup who can get you to 2-2 over a 4 game stretch and mentor to younger QBs.
YoloinOhio Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 Nope! @mikerodak Brian Hoyer will not sign with the Bills after news Wednesday that Tyrod Taylor will stay in Buffalo, sources... Good luck Mr. Hero!
dave mcbride Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Nope! @mikerodak Brian Hoyer will not sign with the Bills after news Wednesday that Tyrod Taylor will stay in Buffalo, sources... Good luck Mr. Hero! Oh well!
Chicken Boo Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Really ok yeah I guess leaking you are talking to another QB wont spark a QB that didn't want o redo his deal all of the sudden redo his deal The deal may have been finalized today, but no doubt had been agreed to several days ago.
YoloinOhio Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 So why were even talking to Hoyer if he only wants to start, and the Bills already knew what they were doing with TT? Maybe they didn't tell Hoyer and he just found out.
BillsVet Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Perhaps they're finally investing in the concept of real competition at the most crucial position. As opposed to providing "competition" to EJ through acquiring Kevin Kolb.
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 This leak could have been to gain leverage on the restructuring of TT who said he will not redo his deal. And now all of the sudden he does yeah - sometimes leaks are on purpose. Or to help drive up the price for other teams.
