boyst Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 (edited) Why aren't we hearing anything about him? What about Bob? He had better number than most WR's who hit FA last year, WR is not that strong in FA. I still hold out hope he tests the market and we can retain him. Edited March 8, 2017 by Boyst62
KellyToughII Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I have been watching NFLN and listening to Sirius and not one time has anyone mentioned Woods, not once. They broke down the top 5 WR's In FA and he wasn't on the list.
Coach Tuesday Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I think he'll go to one of the California teams.
billsfanmiami(oh) Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Thought i heard he was talking with the pats 🤢
Cereal Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I thought I heard on WGR this morning that some team had reached out to him, but I didn't quite catch who it was..?

Chargers Josh ReedVerified account @4JoshReed 21h21 hours ago Told that #Chargers are interested in #Bills WR Robert Woods. makes sense with ties to A-Lynn. Woods is great run blocker and went to USC

I still hold out hope he tests the market and we can retain him. Jeffery / Pryor / Marshall / Stills / Jackson / Garcon / Britt are all clearly a tier above him ..... The top shelf talent goes first and sets the market, then the next tier fills in when teams get desperate.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 If we have a quarterback who can find him, sign him at a reasonable figure. The problem is why would he want to stay with the Bills if Taylor is the QB?

YoloinOhio Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 If we have a quarterback who can find him, sign him at a reasonable figure. The problem is why would he want to stay with the Bills if Taylor is the QB? He SAID he likes TT and if they kept him it would influence him to come back, but I'm not sure I believe that. The Chargers are really a great fit, and they spread the ball around.
BillsFan2313 Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 How much do you think he will cost? Because of potential, I would like to look at Cordarelle Patterson. He is looking for 4m a year. Seemed like he started to figure things out at WR last year, plus is he a dynamic KR. Maybe you could even get Patterson and Aiken for the price of Woods?

BillsFan2313 Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Kenny Stills is 24 Alshon Jeffery is 27 Kenny Britt is 28 What am I missing?

Drunken Pygmy Goat Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 (edited) Because his name isn't Bob. He doesn't go by Bob, and no one calls him Bob (other than fans). Bob Woods is more of a gay porn name, or a Sabres assistant coach name, not a football name. Seriously, though, you don't hear about him because he's a Bill, and he played WR for one of the worst passing teams in the league last year. That, and there are other, higher profile players available at the position. Marshall signed with the Giants for 2 years, $12mil, but he's older. Woods will probably get around $8mil per year if he hits FA, based on age and production, but if he truly wants to stay a Bill if Taylor is kept, maybe he can be had for a bit less on a front loaded deal. boyst Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 Kenny Stills is 24 Alshon Jeffery is 27 Kenny Britt is 28 What am I missing? Kenny stills is not better than woods as a football player. And equal at best as a wr.Jeffrey is overrated and trending downward. Britt is even more overrated.
