Riverboat Richie Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 That's pretty much what I expect to happen. Sounds like them.
JimKellyTryouts Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 I remember a bunch of years back how everyone was terrified for Belichick trading for Ochocinco and Haynesworth. Obviously, Peterson's work ethic and attitude are millions of times better than the one those clowns had, but I'm skeptical it'll follow through. Reading through the roto-wire, it seems that there's not mutual interest anyway. AP is just basically putting himself on a pedestal with a public wishlist - Raiders, Pats, and some other teams I can't recall from reports
Wayne Arnold Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 *UPDATE* Exclusive footage of Bill Belichick's reaction to report about Adrian Peterson considering a "team friendly deal" to join Patriots...
GETTOTHE50 Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 (edited) *UPDATE* Exclusive footage of Bill Belichick's reaction to report about Adrian Peterson considering a "team friendly deal" to join Patriots... Good. GOOOOOOOHHHHDDDDDDDD Edited March 7, 2017 by GETTOTHE50
Rockpile233 Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 By "team friendly deal" does it mean they will hire a company AP has a direct stake in?
Wayne Arnold Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 By "team friendly deal" does it mean they will hire a company AP has a direct stake in? "Team friendly deal" aka "Kraft pays me under the table to avoid salary cap penalties like he does Brady"
Rockpile233 Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 "Team friendly deal" aka "Kraft pays me under the table to avoid salary cap penalties like he does Brady" The GOAT cannot have a conflict of interest. I'm pretty sure, this is like, a rule.
Mr. WEO Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 What team is going to offer this guy any big money? Team friendly deals are all that are out there for this guy.
Chicken Boo Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 (edited) I never root for any player to get injured, but all bets will be off if the Pats acquire AD. No one on that team would be safe. Edited March 8, 2017 by Chicken Boo
Heavy Kevi Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Didn't see this posted yet, but rumors are swirling that he could join the Pats and would be willing to take less money to do so. https://www.google.com/amp/www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/adrian-peterson-would-reportedly-consider-team-friendly-deal-to-play-for-patriots/amp/ Of course he would... ...man I freakin hate the Pats. Karma is gonna come back around on them, I just hope I'm still around to see it.
Benjamin Franklin Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 they kill me. NFL rushing touchdown leader, doesn't fumble, pass protects well, good teammate by all accounts. Lets cut the guy....... The Pats are the NFL's older brother. They are trying to make winning the SB a competition but the rest of the teams keep losing. Soon they will play with 9 men.
Chris66 Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 they kill me. NFL rushing touchdown leader, doesn't fumble, pass protects well, good teammate by all accounts. Lets cut the guy....... he's an ufa that was only making a million last year.
YoloinOhio Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 @tompelissero #Seahawks have no immediate interest in Adrian Peterson, I'm told. History shows they'll revisit sometimes if a guy is sitting out there.
Big Turk Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 they know how to fix that.Apparently over the last 10 years they've had the fewest fumbles in the league by a mile and there really is no other explanation for it other than they've figured out something nobody else has
BuffaloHokie13 Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 My gut says he becomes a Seahawk or a Panther. I'd add the Ravens, but I think Jamaal Charles is more their speed.
dave mcbride Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I looked up AP's fumble stats, and he's definitely below average on a per carry basis (that is, he fumbles more thann most, particularly in recent years. A high fumbling is really unacceptable for just about any team.
ExiledInIllinois Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 (edited) "Team friendly" deals are anti-competitive, collusion driven. The should be made illegal and player should be held to what the market will bear for their services. Edited March 8, 2017 by ExiledInIllinois

YoloinOhio Posted April 2, 2017 Posted April 2, 2017 @tompelissero Adrian Peterson is visiting the #Patriots tomorrow, source said (as @AdamSchefter said). Always has made sense as a possible landing spot.
