Tyrod is not middle of the pack. He stinks as a passer. We are not winning anything with him. He has not beaten a good team since taking over. Stop living in La La land. He is not worth $10 million let alone all the guaranteed money he would get on the extension. You are an apologist for the guy. You either have it or you don't. He doesn't have it. Watch the NFL a little bit. Watch how the good ones make plays effortlessly. They do two things that Tyrod does not do. They are decisive where they want to go with the ball on every snap. And when they throw, they are very accurate most of the time. Decisiveness and Accuracy. The good and great ones have it. Tyrod does not.

I disagree, respectfully.. only due to his ability to run. I'm not saying he is GREAT, the NFL only has a few great QBs and after 17 years my patience waiting for us to strike gold has come and gone. If last year we had our defense live up to the 2014 bench mark they set, we would've been in the playoffs.

There are crazier things to imagine than a QB learning and growing in year 3 as FT starter.

Tyrod has his flaws but he also brings intangibles others don't. Even more important, the guy wants to be here after the Ryan Bros circus left us ankle deep in elephant crap and choking on streamers.

What good is tyrod to a rebuilding team? He can take them to 8-8 but that is all tbeyd get until they get other talent.

Cleveland has no reasonable reason to trade

That is probably why they AREN'T going after Tyrod.

Here's how I see the trade going down:

Bills get a pick from Browns.

Days later, we find out that the Bills had to pay the $15.5M option bonus and take the cap hit to get the deal done.

Deranged Greggo then denies the Bills go spit-roasted by the Browns.

What I don't get, all the Tyrod defenders, why can't we get a first round pick back for him?

Cuz it's a first rounder and his contract. Like 2 first rounders.

The better question is how did his contract get so high ? Somebody whose actaul job it is to evaluate QB talent - not troll on message boards - thought he was a $27M QB.

Dude's done nothing but represent the bills organization with class and play his heart out for this fanbase - will never understand the hate.

It's not personal. I like Tyrod. I was a Tyrod fan when the choice was him, EJ, or Cassel. The issue is do we want to pay him 40 million for 2 years.

Copy that. I am in the camp of seeing what he can do under new OC (especially with David Lee gone) and leadership but draft a QB anyway - like in the 3rd.

TT is entertaining at a minimum, has a high floor and I think the Miami and Seattle Taylor is the one we will be seeing more consistently. It was college - but he always got better every year - and by the time he was a Senior, he was a machine.

In before someone points out that the Miami and Seattle games were both losses - clearly on the D both games.

One positive about this is it would eliminate Cleveland in the darnold sweepstakes next year.

A bit a leap from a to b there imo.

Cowherd talking about this on his show like it's a sure thing Cleveland is getting Tyrod. Thinks it's a bad move for Cleveland since they always fall for undersized QB's.

Cowherd is the king of throw as much against the wall and see what sticks for me to believe much of anything he says.

It's not a leap. Everyone knows if Tyrod's on your roster at his current deal that it's against league rules to even scout, let alone draft, another QB. I'm pretty sure I've deduced that from this board, anyway.

I've said it several times now, but that Miami game was his best as a pro from a command standpoint, imo. Great job getting us in and out of plays and he was moving Miami defenders all afternoon. May have been a loss but that's immaterial in evaluating his performance.

You will get an idea on exactly what the market thinks of Tyrod on what pick is offered up for him.

Sure, teams could wait for us to let him walk, however, hey run the risk of him not wanting to sign with them. At the very least trading for him assures you minimum two year of his option.

If the best they can get is a third, I still take it and have that as proof that he's not viewed as a top tier QB.
