cover1 Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Here is a set of plays from Byrd's highest graded game per PFF. I think he would immediately start for us, just wonder what his price would be. https://twitter.com/Cover1Bills/status/836769467023634432
YoloinOhio Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 He can save money by living with pops and carpooling.
KOKBILLS Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 One thing about Jairus...He was never fast to begin with...He's had foot and knee problems now...and he's 30... At this point his stock could not be lower IMHO...It's a testament to exactly how poor the Bills depth chart is at Safety that I would even consider bringing him in on a one-year "prove it" deal...But I would...A part of me died admitting it though...
Saxum Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 His perfect position is on training staff advising players how to avoid planters fakeitis.
QCity Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 If I was Terry, Id say "Sorry Jairus, my plantar fasciitis has spread to my hand, it's preventing me from signing any checks for you."
Webster Guy Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Some people have CRS apparently Looks like it. Not just from the Me-First Team-Second crap he pulled here, but also from the significant decline in play he had. Saints got burned badly on that deal. PFF is such a hack site, they practically admit it themselves. They've always overrated Byrd for some reason.
frogger Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 I watched him play a bunch this past year, he's still a better than average FS. Take away the emotions we have over the time he was in Buffalo, he is worth 3 to 4 million per year and would be an upgrade. I'm on board if we pick him up.
KermitMcDermott Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Wouldn't be opposed to it if the price is right. Still a very good player, IMO, but the Bills did the right thing by not re-signing him for all that money.

Had his best game towards the end of the season. Depending on the money demands, he'd be worth bringing back, considering the Bills lack of depth at Safety.
LeGOATski Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 My favorite player while he was in B-lo. Considering the lack of safety talent, I'd love to have him back.
KollegeStudnet Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 He can save money by living with pops and carpooling. Cut back on immisons and less cars on road! A+
unbillievable Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Was known as a ball-hawk in Buffalo. Earned a reputation in New Orleans as an in-box safety, with a nose for the ball, that misses tackles. Byrd has great instincts, if not speed or power.
Buffalo Boy Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Dimestore Sammy Watkins of the safety realm. Attitude and health issues. Get him close to vet. Minimum but if you drop 3-4 million on him he doesn't start all the games this season. Not even close.
billsfan89 Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 A sub 2 million dollar contract for one year is the most I would give him. If the Bills could get him at 2 million or less I would honestly take it. It gives the team an option at safety that is far better than what the team has previously had in the past two seasons. He has been healthier the past two seasons but has had mixed levels of performance. Given the cost could be fairly cheap I wouldn't mind a return.
