CommonCents Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 Instead of listing each individual tag/cut/signing in a new thread maybe we can accumulate a list of moves here. Pats are not going to use the tag on Hightower. Peterson and Charles got cut today. A bunch of high profile moves happening already, should create some interesting discussions/possibilities league wide.

26CornerBlitz Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 @RapSheet Source: The #Saints will release big-money safety Jairus Byrd on first day of FA. Another top DB available.

Saxum Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Jason Pierre-Paul has enough fingers left to get a non-exclusive franchise player tag. http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/giants-designate-pierre-paul-non-exclusive-franchise-player-022817 Kirk Cousins gets exclusive franchise tag. http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/qb-kirk-cousins-gets-exclusive-franchise-tag-from-redskins-022817 Nearly a half-hour before the club itself sent out a news release about the move, Cousins’ agent Mike McCartney tweeted about it, and Cousins wrote on the social media site: “Tag! I’m it!” If the Redskins end up paying Cousins the roughly $24 million under the tag next season, that would mean allocating nearly 15 percent of the expected $167 million salary cap. Panthers put on DL Kawann Short. http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/carolina-panthers-strengthen-defense-with-key-moves-022817 The Panthers officially placed the franchise tag on Short, hitting the cap for a projected $14.77 million.
YoloinOhio Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 (edited) @bleacherreport Colin Kaepernicks agents have reportedly informed teams that the QB will opt out of his contract with the 49ers Edited March 1, 2017 by YoloinOhio
YoloinOhio Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 @adamschefter Once Colin Kaepernick officially opts out of his contract Thursday, the 49ers won't have a single QB under contract.
Kirby Jackson Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 @adamschefter Once Colin Kaepernick officially opts out of his contract Thursday, the 49ers won't have a single QB under contract. They didn't have a single QB under contract last year either .
CommonCents Posted March 1, 2017 Author Posted March 1, 2017 Malcolm Butler is a RFA, if your drafting at the back end of the first round would you sacrifice your first and steal him from the Pats?
YoloinOhio Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 @pfcentral Gilmore and Butler BOTH want to be paid top 3 CB money. Miami is willing to spend top $$ for a CB. We will see Donatari Poe will get huge interest in free agency. Spoke to 6 teams who are seriously interested. Bidding war will ensue
