Saxum Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/02/27/leveon-bell-gets-franchise-tag/ The Steelers have placed a franchise tag on Bell and, per multiple reports, it is the exclusive variety. That gives them until July 15 to work out a long-term contract before Bell would be left with the choice of playing out the year on the franchise tender, working out a different one-year deal or sitting out.
YoloinOhio Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 No brainer imo, the RB tag is one of the cheapest. I don't think they want to make a long term commitment to him either with his drug and suspension history.
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 Guess they won't see him until the signing deadline, with plantar faceitis?
