SpaceX going to the Moon in 2018

They already supply the space station and have successfully relanded a rocket.

I guess if you buy all this crap. Even if I did they fail way to much for me to get in one of those things. I thinks the airfare a little out of my league so I won't have to worry about it. :)

If I could afford it I would, you only live once and I would rather die going to the moon, instead of getting hit by some teenager texting while driving.

SpaceX has a high level of enthusiasm for public engagement. Good possibility for a 24hr live HD broadcast that includes communications and telemetry. Definitely looking forward to this.

If it happens, it will be VERY interesting to see what kind of streaming coverage and cameras they provide during the lunar orbit.

Of course for decades now various people have accused NASA of scrubbing lunar images, destroying original film stock, losing video footage of the Apollo Missions, to even bombing the moon in 2009 to (allegedly) destroy some visible ruins http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2009/10/091009-nasa-moon-bombing-lcross-impact-crash.html --if any of that is true (and I'm not saying it is, just that it's a long standing accusation), then you'd have to assume there will be "technical glitches" that will prevent any unedited footage from being released.

I'm not signing up for this ride either, but it's a little disingenuous to berate SpaceX and what they've accomplished because some of their rockets blew up.
