Tipster19 Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 No long post, just a few simple reasons why. 1) veteran leadership 2) cheap contract 3) a mentor for JP 4) will be satisfied on being a back-up 5) mobile and would fit the offensive scheme 6) every other alternative has some kind of baggage or drawback 7) has a good arm Now, go ahead and laugh, blast or criticize. It's the most reasonable solution so far. Or would you rather have Fiedler with the broken neck and rubber arm?
VABills Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 Isn't he older then Flutie? He also has no ability to run anymore. He also has no arm at all, he makes Fluties arm look like Payton Manning. Other then that? Let's not.
slothrop Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 only if he comes with the geriatric home health aid he needs to keep him alive, much less able to play.
cåblelady Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 8). His wife just had another baby and he needs a job. (Heard that on the Oscar pre-show last night....about the baby, that is.)
silvermike Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 Wohoo! I've always said, the one thing that keeps this team for a championship is its complete lack of players from the 1990 NFC Central champion Detriot Lions!

Zamboni Man Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 We could bring in Lomas Brown to shore up the o-line too.

loadofmularkey Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 We could bring in Lomas Brown to shore up the o-line too. 256446 I guess that means TD would have to bring Wayne Fontes aboard in some sort of role as well. Gosh I do love reminiscing about the 1991 Lions.
CoachChuckDickerson Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 As a transplanted Buffalonian who has become a Panthers fan, and follow them almost as closely as the Bills, let me say this about Rodney Pete. DO NOT SIGN HIM. He is a good leader and guys respect him but he is done. If something happened to JP, Pete had NO ARM anymore. Plain and simple. Love the guy but it is the cold hard truth.

Other then that? Let's not. 256393 It'll certainly short circuit any "quarterback controversy". How bad would Losman have to be for the fans to chant "Rodney, Rodney, Rodney"?

kegtapr Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 Now, go ahead and laugh, blast or criticize. 256389 Can I do all three or am I limited to one?
