BIAS BY OMISSION: Selective Media Reporting Further Fuels Our Racial Divide.

On Saturday, a man drove his car onto a Seattle freeway that had been closed by a Black Lives Matter crowd. The driver killed one person and seriously injured another after going the wrong way up a ramp and then around a barricade. Reports noted that police “don’t believe impairment was a factor.” Over the weekend, news outlets replayed the brutal hit, but there’s one thing you won’t learn from their coverage: The driver was black and his victims were white.

NPR linked this attack to other car-ramming incidents by “right-wing extremists targeting Black Lives Matter protesters.” They quote a researcher about how these right-wingers were “trying to intimidate the most recent wave of BLM protesters, to stop their movement.”

The driver was a Seattle local named Dawit Kelete. But you’ll find scant mention of the driver’s ethnicity in mainstream media coverage. You might have more easily learned that Kelete was black by going to the Australia Broadcasting Corporation. The American national media also doesn’t note that Kelete’s two victims were white. You can find that out over at the U.K.’s Daily Mail.

Read the whole thing.

The media has been way too soft on the criminal in the White House.

FBI agents will be waiting for him outside the White House on Joe Biden’s inauguration day, amirite?

The Media and 2020: Deja vu All Over Again

Some things never change for the mainstream media. After being blindsided by the results of the 2016 election, the New York Times and other media outlets professed that they would make a concerted effort to be more introspective. They claimed they would try to better understand Trump’s appeal that won over the hearts and minds of so many of the 63 million people who voted for him.

As Michael Barboro wrote in the Times on November 9th, 2016, the morning of Trump’s historic victory, “It’s 3:30 a.m. in the newsroom, and we’re in a state of shock. Donald J. Trump, against what we thought were all odds, collected swing state after swing state after swing state. Hillary Clinton has conceded the race. Mr. Trump has won. How did he pull off such a stunning victory? How did almost no one -- not the pundits, not the pollsters, not us in the media -- see it coming?”

Well, here we are, nearly four years later, and the media and the so-called “intellectual elites” have learned absolutely nothing from 2016. They have not even attempted to try to answer the most fundamental questions that Barboro posed. Instead they have fully committed themselves to their ritualistic practice of hatred and antagonism towards the president and his supporters in an attempt to influence the outcome of the 2020 election.

Over the past few months, the New York Times and the Washington Post scorned those who wanted to reopen their businesses after investing their entire livelihood into them, because they realized that destroying the Trump economy would hurt him at the polls in November.

THE FUTURE IS KNOWN. IT’S THE PAST THAT KEEPS CHANGING:

Never mind that the Stonewall raid wasn't directed at the gay community, but a police take-down of mob store fronts.  Gay bars were the perfect setting for money laundering & drug interactions.

The gays were collateral damage of the Stonewall raid, and used the opportunity to lash out at years of oppression and discriminatory laws.

Behind the Media's Breathtakingly Dishonest Coverage

by Michael Barone

Original Article

"I don't think I've ever seen such dishonest and biased coverage of any event." That was Brit Hume, who has been covering events for more than 50 years for Fox News, ABC News and investigative reporter Jack Anderson.

The event, as you may have guessed, was President Donald Trump's Independence (without the scare-quotes) Day speech at Mount Rushmore. The speech was, according to The New York Times, a "dark and divisive speech" designed to deliver a "divisive culture war message."

USA Today claims Trump campaign shirts feature ‘Nazi symbol’, trips SPECTACULARLY over actual American symbol

Print media is dying... a slow death, but dying none the less.

“The paper wanted so desperately to have a ‘true’ associated with a Trump/Nazi controversy that they ‘fact-checked’ the existence of the controversy, not whether or not the image was Nazi related. Pathetic.”

The “Worth noting” self-own is a nice touch, however.
