unless he's one of the media indicted?

Everything is so crazy that I can't rule anything out  But I don't expect to see Shep's name (or any journalist) to pop up in either Durham's work or Horowitz, I was just taking the piss because the Barr timing is hilarious to me (and likely coincidental)

(Though I do believe Shep is compromised, either due to his own ignorance/biases which isn't criminal or being on someone's payroll/blackmail ledger -- which could be but I don't think he's in any way important enough to be involved in anything spygate related -- even as an information launderer like Isakoff or Barrett. I don't think anyone outside of Fox took him seriously in the journalist/news world.)

A cautionary note for all the well-meaning leftists about the roots of your patron saints.

This was penned by a Communist writer who got disillusioned after a visit to Stalin's paradise in the '30s.

"What is wanted now is compliance, conformism.  What is desired and demanded is approval that is not mere resignation, but a sincere and enthusiastic approval.  What is most astounding is that this attempt is successful.  On the other hand the smallest protest, the least criticism, is liable to the severest penalties, and in fact is immediately stifled.  And I doubt whether in any other country in the world, even Hitler’s Germany, thought be less free, more bowed down, more fearful (terrorized), more vassalized.”

That could be about the NBA.

So, what are the odds he waits out his 90(or whatever)-day non-compete period, then magically shows up on CNN or MSNBC?

I definitely see him at another outlet in time to "report" on the elections.

He’s a drama queen. I remember he looked straight into the camera and told people, “Get out, or you’re gonna die. You’re gonna DIE!” When a Cat 3 hurricane threatened the coast. Two days later, after it stalled out and fizzled to a tropical depression, he said nothing. But he was great at spinning whatever negative slant he could get against Trump.

So long Sap Smith. Hope you took your period panties with you.

What’s with John Roberts? I think he is very good at his job.

Did anyone actually watch Smith?

Isn't this basically a mutual separation due to very poor ratings?

Someone in the know educate my sorry political butt.

A little advice-----------------------don't mention your butt during a Shep Smith discussion. There's a reason he's an hysterical drama queen.

Don't worry, Smith wouldn't have any interest in my butt anyways. THANK GOD.

Initial rumors were "It's me or Tucker."  Looks like they decided on Tucker? ?‍♂️

Escorted out:huh:

Shepard Smith 'was sick of being attacked by his Fox News primetime colleagues' and asked for a way out of his $15million a year contract - while a former staffer says it will be 'telling' to see who is chosen as his replacement

  • Shepard Smith is leaving Fox News after joining the network in 1996 he announced on Friday, just 18 months after signing a $15million deal
  • The sudden move comes after the anchor was both praised and derided over the past three years for his criticism of President Trump
  • Smith has criticized his own network for having partisan guests, and existing to be 'entertaining' rather than informative
  • The anchor, who has also criticized Trump,  has clashed with colleagues over his views and said he was 'sick' of being attacked by his primetime colleagues
  •  Recently, Smith was openly mocked by Tucker Carlson on his show for calling an attack on one their colleagues 'repugnant'
  • He's also been ridiculed by hosts Sean Hannity, who claimed Smith was 'clueless' about his work and Laura Ingraham who called his comments 'inconsiderate'
  • When asked about Smith's departure on Friday by DailyMail.com, President Trump said: 'Is he leaving because of bad ratings? Is he leaving because of me?'
  • Former Fox News reporter Carl Cameron told MSNBC that 'it will be telling' to see who steps into Smith's slot
  • Smith, 55, said that he was looking forward to spending more time with his partner Giovanni Graziano, 31, and their dog Lucia
  • Multiple sources told DailyMail.com that Smith's departure was a complete surprise to employees at the network and he was escorted out
