And some wonder why he was reluctant to hand over his phone to police. From article above:

"A source familiar with the records provided by the Empire star states that Smollett downloaded his phone activity into a spreadsheet and then deleted certain phone calls before handing over the records. “He did the [detectives’] job for them because then they only had to focus on the numbers he deleted.”

Kind of proves that when actors don't work off scripts of smart people, they're really dumb.

Ironically, as a soon-to-be-unemployed actor, he'd have done a better job tampering with the evidence if he'd #LearnToCode...

From what I understand, a few police departments have the technology to pull a chip from any phone and get a full listing of every call# in and out  and other metadata such as date and time. They then work with the cell phone providers who can help them triangulate (from cell towers that were pinged) where the call was made/taken.

This ain’t Barney Fife of the Mayberry PD he’s dealing with.

If they don’t have warrants, all evidence they obtain is fruit of the poison tree and completely inadmissible in court.

Something tells me this may not end well for Smollet and all the blue-checked leftists who jumped to his defense to bash Trump supporters.

Or Harris and Waters who loved to have Jussie as a prop on stage with them.

don't worry.  there will be some rebooted Russia collusion narrative or two scoops of ice cream outrage to fade the Smollet hoax out of memory

Or the next chapter starring Stormy Daniels.  That's been dormant for a while.

And yet undoubtedly and without question, the next time some leftwing nutbag claims he was beaten and bleached by white guys wearing MAGA hats, the left wing punditry will be there to swallow it all and blame the white man.

Where you at, Kamala Harris? Where you at, Maxine Waters? Everyone is waiting for your apologies.

And you know...racists were racists before Trump, and they'll be racists after Trump.  But this doesn't happen if Trump isn't in office.

So the irony is that this is the first crime we can indisputably say was inspired by Trump's rhetoric.
