Updates to #JussieSmollett alleged attack:

-Smollett’s friend was first to call police.

He declined medical attention for him.

Media refer to incident as a “brutal attack.”

-Smollett told police officers to turn off body cams when they took first report.

8:54 PM - 29 Jan 2019

The first two and the fourth are not unusual in an assault.  (Nor is the third...but that's not evidentiary.)

Again: I'll judge when the facts are in, of which there are currently none.

He declined medical attention? I heard he was resting comfortably in the hospital. I think a wait and see attitude is appropriate here.

He declined medical attention, so he was resting comfortably because they weren't poking and prodding him.  Duh.

The media is slinking away from the Jussie Smollett hoax having done its damage.

Quote

Confirmed with two Chicago PD sources that Jussie Smollett and his manager refused a request to turn over phone records to show Smollett's manager was on the phone with Jussie when the attack took place. Its not clear if Chicago PD will move to obtain records independently

ADDED:

New video of one of the 'assailants' found !

Indeed, why get poked & prodded at a hospital when he could have stayed where he was and had that done?

if this isn't true he should spend a few years bagging groceries to meet his rent.

You mean, making license plates?  No reason to equate him to honest folks who bag groceries.

(nodding in repentance)

it was a lame reference to another actor who was recently outed bagging groceries, but taking it like a man

LIKE FISH, MEDIA ROTS FROM THE HEAD:

David Reaboi writes this in The Federalist today:

“As media companies have found their resources shrink, they found it more profitable to jettison some of the work from highly paid, more experienced reporters and editors in favor of increasingly ideological woke clickbait generated from young staffers, listicles, and fulsome explorations of things like the ‘internet culture’ beat. The importance of agitating for political priorities and enforcing new cultural standards blinded many in the industry to the reality of their failing business model.”

The rest of the post is here and well worth your attention.

Yesterday, the Washington Post covered itself in glory with this predictably awful spin on Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam’s defense of infanticide:

DyL8DvbXQAwp1nT.jpg

Today, they kept the ball rolling with this firefighting for pro-infanticide Virginia State Delegate Kathy Tran:

DyQXvaFUYAEdp4U.jpg.The piece is so hackish that it doesn't even tell readers what her comments were -- and for a very good reason.

There seems to be a pattern.......?
