Wow this is as shocking as the last time someone reported this,

which was just yesterday

and the day before that

and the day before that

and the day before that

and the day before that …

A source "familiar with the President's thinking?"  That could be anyone who reads his goddamn Twitter account.

‘Fact Checkers checking facts falsely’: Sheryl Attkisson reveals who is determining ‘fake news’
by Tom Tillison

Original Article

Sheryl Attkisson, the former D.C. bureau investigative correspondent for CBS News, revealed Facebook’s “new plan to crack down on fake news.”

Coming the same week Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg was being grilled on Capitol Hill about bias at the social media platform, Attkisson reveals that the “fact checkers” they are turning to, or the organizations behind them, are guilty themselves of peddling fake news

Speaking at Hillsdale College this week, she exposed Zuckerberg and Co. more than a few grandstanding senators ever did.

“Facebook’s new plan to help crack down on fake news included collaborating with Pointer Institute’s “PolitiFact,” ABC News’ FactCheck.org, The Associated Press and Snopes,” Attkisson explained.

“Now this audience probably already knows the possible perils of all that from a neutrality standpoint,” she continued. “Its relying on some of the very organizations that have gotten caught in compromising situations or engaged in transactional journalism or reported biased and incorrect news themselves.”

Sharyl Attkinson does some fine work.

I hope her FBI, DOJ intrusion lawsuit shines a light on past (current) practices of the spying on US citizens. While we all know they listen to texts, conversations, and have records of our internet use, to infect a personal computer of a journalist (and she is one of the few journalists out there these days) with keystroke (and more) software ... there are no words.

This is her blog for those who are interested.  I think she works independently since leaving CBS.

Will do, thanks for helping us get truth out despite all the censorship these days

A wise correspondent notes that the "Oust Trump" Resistance effort among media/Dems/NT has fully pivoted from Russia! and Obstruction to placing hope fully on Cohen raid. Violation of civil liberties a small price to pay, they seem to think, for end goal.

The only flaw with this approach is that as flawless as it is among the loud media voices, most Americans can see it for what it is and are less likely to love the unAmerican approach of "we know he's guilty so keep going until you find a crime" against political enemies.

Somewhat related..............As you’ve probably heard by now, the Washington Post revealed a new motto today across all of its platforms: “Democracy Dies in Darkness.”

He knows that I don't respond (Directly) to his silliness....................I just mock him like everyone else,

But his responding to a 14 month old post..............is mock worthy.

Ya, I left like it was all over for the Russia investigation the moment Trump's lawyer was raided! You are such a little fool. You should start binge drinking like D.C.

It is encouraging that it is getting down to something we can work/impeach with.  Lying about sex.

That's a separate investigation, at least on the surface. Mueller threw that to the NY office, but since they seized all his materials who knows what they find. If the Cohen trip to Prague is true then the two overlap.

I missed the part where Trump was put under oath, I guess.

And, if he ever is, he could admit to !@#$ing the Pope in the ass while Putin looked on from the corner of a Russian candlelit room jerking of to the Falalalalala song with strippers swinging naked in baskets suspended from turnbuckles in the ceiling tossed handfuls of Baluga caviar on rye toast to the ermine that were let into the room and were cavorting in the throes of sexual ecstasy allthewhile the hidden cameras of MI6, all 17 USIAs, The Clinton Foundation, and Kim Jong Un’s hot-to-trot Rodman-the-worm porno patrol are recording every moment in slow motion in order to capture every instant of salaciousness for posterity and of course - the TRUMP PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY and there would be nothing that he could be impeached for.

Of course, Tony Podesta would be disgusted by the tapes because there were no children under the age of ten being sexually abused and violated in unspeakable manners.

Of course Planned Parenthood and the DNC would hold us this as evidence as to why we need public  funding of abortions and of course defray the cost of same by selling living fetus tissues... for “research” of course.

!@#$ off... the lot of you.

And Whitewater was an investigation about a land deal.

In an era where members of the press sermonize regularly about the importance of facts and truth, it seems like it should be a bigger deal that the 2016 Democratic nominee was able to mislead the New York Times into printing materially false corrections:

Hillary Clinton’s team pressured the New York Times into printing misleading corrections
