shrader
It's May 2018? I thought they were going for Christmas time ever year. Do they have another movie coming out at that point in 2018?

Mark Vader
It's May 2018? I thought they were going for Christmas time ever year. Do they have another movie coming out at that point in 2018? "Rogue One" was originally scheduled to be a Summer 2016 release. This way Disney has the month of May bookended with "Star Wars: Han Solo" during Memorial Day and "Avengers: Infinity War" at the start of May. snafu
It suddenly occurs to me that Star Wars has jumped the shark. Agree. They're gassing up the boat and getting the ramp into position.
eball
It suddenly occurs to me that Star Wars has jumped the shark. I dunno, man...there are some great Solo stories to tell. Part of the fun of the original trilogy was wondering what he had gotten into to create so many enemies.
shrader
"Rogue One" was originally scheduled to be a Summer 2016 release. This way Disney has the month of May bookended with "Star Wars: Han Solo" during Memorial Day and "Avengers: Infinity War" at the start of May. So they originally wanted the main series to be Christmas and then the spinoff sequels the following summer? At this point, I'd be willing to bet that this one gets delayed to Christmas.
